The medics placed Randy in the black body bag and took him away.
"We found this by the body," one of the medics handed Dewey the cell phone Randy had bee talking on.
"Uh, thanks," he said taking it. Gale looked at it with horror, "Do you want it Gale?"
"No," Gale turned and started to walk. "Get rid of it."
Dewey was going to do what Gale had asked but he had to do something first. He punched in some numbers.
RING RING
Martha Meeks headed for the phone and grabbed it. "Hello Meeks residence, can I help you?"
"Hey Martha its Dewey,"
"Dewey! Hey whats up?"
"Uh, can I talk to your mom please?"
"Sure," Martha placed a hand over the receiver "MOM! Dewey wants to talk to you."
Martha's mother Annie walked up. "Dewey Riley?"
"Yeah, it sounded really important,"
"Okay, thanks honey," Annie took the phone. "Hello Dewey." Martha sat down at the table.
"Hi Annie,"
"Martha said it was important,"
"Yeah..its..its about Randy,"
"What is it?"
"Something happened," Dewey didn't know how to tell Annie that
her eldest son was dead.
"Dewey, what is it?"
"He, well we got a call from the killer. And Randy was, he was talking to him, me and Gale were looking for the killer and Randy made his way to Gale's van, and he, he got pulled in-"
"N-no," Annie's eyes swelled up.
"And he was stabbed. He didn't make it,"
"No!" tears flooded her eyes and fell.
"Annie, I'm sorry..."
CLICK
Annie dropped the phone and slid to the floor.
"Mom? Mom what is it?" Martha ran to her mother's side.
"Honey, Dewey..he called to tell me that..Randy died,"
"What? He's he's lying..."
"No honey..."
"Mom,,," Martha went to her and cried too.
Dewey looked at the phone in his hand. He then noticed the little bit of blood on the side and dropped it. The phone shattered on the ground.
