Long Forgotten Sons
Anger and self-hate drag us down
to the sharks below.
The fury leaks out
into uncharted waters.
The sharks are drawn in
to the blood leaking out
Limb by limb we die.
Choking on the urge to kill,
while the Gates for Hell open.
The banshee's sing your dieing song,
all the while the Furies welcome you to diner.
Drop by drop you bleed out,
watching the red rose bloom beneath you.
Bone by bone they tear you apart,
leaving only your soul.
Even that will not last long,
for it too will be broken and eaten.
Picked apart,
piece by piece
like used nail polish,
leaving the nails to turn into claws,
to tear out their hearts
and lap up the misery,
to feed the poor in spirit
and to watch the rich fall.
The glue holding us up,
is slowly crumbling.
Without the rope to hold us up,
we fall into Despair.
Clawing our way back up
to grab the only rope left,
only to be dragged back down
by hungry foes,
to fall off the Cliff of Failer
and drown in the River of Denial.
The crocodile's teeth rip out the organs
and shred their skin.
The ties that are holding us together
also tie the bricks to out feet.
Misery loves company
so lock them up and throw away the key.
Death by rope or sword,
stone or water,
needle or lightning.
Your chose in death
will be slow and painful
for you have been forgotten.
Let the lethal injection creep through you
carving out your insides
and hardening your blood.
The numbness starts
and it grabs your soul.
Glass whips rip down,
stripping you down to your pride,
until that too has lost the fight.
Come and join me in Hell
where angels and demons sing and dance.
No-one cares as you scream.
Your cries for help are lost to the music.
The chains drag you down
to your assigned seat in Purgatory
for the Feast of Your Life Time.
Join hands as we are Damned.
"Bow all ye unfaithful Sloths."
Cold fire burns all else away
and there is only the cold to comfort you.
"Welcome home my demons."
… and your screams change key.
Laughter tears all bonds,
both mortal and mental.
Welcome in the demons,
for they will free you.
A/N: Hey loyal people! It has been so long since I last uploaded something. Hope that this makes up for it. And yes before anyone asks the title is taken from the name of a Rise Against song. I couldn't think of anything else.
This poem took forever to get written out. It wasn't until the end that I thought of putting it in the Supernatural fandom. Hope that it works!
Sincerely the ever InsaNE,
Synk
