"Desmond has a barrow in the market place. Molly is the singer in a band." I muttered, staring out the window at the rain always pouring down on Forks.

"Kim, are you bored?" Emmett asked, looking at me through the rearview mirror.

"Yep." I replied, crossing my eyes at him in return and hiding my true status under a shield. Emmett knew my condition and that I wasn't just bored, but didn't press into it further. Just then, my phone starting blaring Song of Mor'du from Brave in my pocket.

"Hey, Alice." I said after checking caller id.

"I got you an early birthday present. Where are you guys?" Alice asked through the network.

"Turning off the freeway onto the long winding driveway leading to home." I teased, knowing full well Alice prided herself on designing the fences outlining the driveway.

"Ok. I'll be waiting at the light at the end of the tunnel for you with your early gift," she teased back, hanging up. Soon after, the Jeep was parked in front of the Cullen household.

"Hey, Emmett, do you know what Alice got me as an early birthday present?" I questioned as we ascended the three stairs leading to the front porch.

"Yep, but I'm not telling. You knock and find out." Emmett answered, evilly grinning. Rolling my eyes at my older brother, I knocked on the door and heard pattering of multiple sets of feet running across the foyer to open the door.

"Seriously?" I asked, getting excited. All Emmett did was nod as the front door opened.

"Mom!" My two oldest sons nicknamed the "minis" reached me first as six of my kids tackled me in a major group hug.

"Hey, you guys!" I said, smiling as I attempted to hug my brood at once.

"That's only half of the surprise. The babies are sleeping in the makeshift nursery." Alice said as she and Jasper joined Emmett in watching the family reunion.

"Half?" I asked, shooting a questioning look at my sister.

"Use your senses." Alice answered in reply, giving her famous I-know-something-you-don't grin.

"Hint: kitchen," nine year old Dark said as he and his siblings ran back to the living room to watch TV. Following my son's advice, I headed to the kitchen, located in the farthest corner from the front door.

"Go team rainbow spicy pancakes!" I said, walking up behind the other half of my birthday present.

"Hola, person who I haven't seen in a while because she was forced to go to Atlantis." Natsu teased, hugging me.

"It's been a while," I agreed, relaxing fully for the first time in months.
