It started off as just a normal Saturday at home.

David spent the morning in bed with his wife before making her breakfast in bed. Followed by a late lunch in the local park with Mudgie.

They had a standing agreement that if David was home at the weekend then Saturday night was date night. They would always go to this little restaurant that David knew that had the best steak in town.

This Saturday was no different. Or at least it wasn't until they were on their way home.

The last thing he remembered was looking at his sleeping wife beside him in the car then a bright white light.

Someone was asking him if he could hear them but they sounded so far away.

He felt cold. Really cold and there was a searing pain in his side. It was getting harder to breathe.

Where was his wife? What had happened?

Then he heard nothing.

He woke to see a doctor and nurse by his bedside. Being able to read people was a curse. He knew she was gone before they even told him.

"She died instantly." Said the doctor. "She felt no pain."

She might not of felt pain but he did.

His world felt empty without her. Her children felt the same.

They flew home straight away and helped organise the funeral as David seemed to be lost without her.

The funeral was held a week later and it looked as if everyone in Washington was there. Even the Director of the FBI came.

After the graveside service, David stood with the 3 children around him. They each took their turn saying their final goodbye.

David stayed on his own for awhile to have some privacy before he left her side for the last time.

"Goodbye my love. Wait for me." We're his parting words.

"Hear lies Erin Marie Rossi

Beloved Wife and Mother of

David, Charlotte, Thomas and Lynne."
