Reality

She walked down the street, watching people putting up Halloween decorations. Kids laughing and playing, teens talking about the pranks they were going to play. That should've been her, she should be planning pranks, picking costumes for a party, wishing that Caine would notice her, making bets out of who would get in the most trouble out the Coats Academy kids. But that wasn't to be most of her friends were dead. Majority of the kids she'd gone to school with were dead. Heck, Caine was dead. The FAYZ had changed everything. Superpowers, monsters, mutants; they had all been real in the FAYZ. She couldn't look at the Thing from Fantastic Four without thinking of Charles Merriman whom everyone knew as Orc. He was gone now too.

The FAYZ had brought the best and the worst out of the children stuck inside that enclosed dome. Mostly the worst. Especially in her. Fighting, stealing, murder, war. What she considered worst of all she'd been bought to cannibalism. The taste of human flesh was something she was never going to forget a long as she lived.

She walked past a mother with her baby picking out cute costumes. She couldn't look at the mother and child for long. She'd been a mother even if it was only for a short while. Motherhood had been stolen from her. Gaia, the mutant baby she'd only been pregnant with for a short while, the monster child that had grown up so fast. Sam and Caine had been forced to kill her. While their parents and the whole world watched. Everyone knew the monsters they'd become while trapped in the FAYZ.

She had to turn away. She couldn't think of what ifs. It wasn't healthy.

She returned home, wishing she could return to a time when Halloween was fun. When supernatural powers were fantasy and monsters weren't real. Back to a time before the FAYZ when she'd been a spoilt problem child that her parents didn't know how to deal with.
