Media and Stupidity
Blossom always found it humorous when people make assumptions about them and are entirely false. Like when people assume rather vocally about their love lives. They're sprawled all over the media, from gossip magazines to the daily news.
People like to call it the Color Equation and non-existent sexual tension.
Red goes with Red.
Blue goes with blue.
Green goes with green.
The Color Equation, is just one big poppycock!
They base their hypothesis by face value, and frankly, Blossom found them rather foolish for not looking underneath the underneath.
And to think most of the media personalities graduated with degrees in their field! What a decline in the American education!
Really, people that actually know her should very well know that she's a very practical person and she has no time for irrational boys, when a sophisticated woman such as herself can easily have men with intelligence that match up with her own.
And frankly, the imbecile that people so love to match her with, namely Brick Jojo, does not cut it in her high standards. Besides, as much as she feels sorry for her childhood friend for having to put up with such a dimwit, Robin Snyder is happy with said idiot for some reason.
As for her sisters, Buttercup, much to Blossom's disdain, is enjoying her free-spirited lifestyle of one night stands. Though, Bubbles did mention to her once that Boomer and their dark haired sister are suspiciously "more touchy-feely" with each other these days. So hopefully that will change her sister's…er…prerogative ways.
Bubbles' relationship, when she first found out, worried her so much. She even went to the trouble of talking her beloved sister out of it, by this; she means that she rather flat out told her sister that it was a bad idea. The two sisters didn't speak for months because of this. Blossom truly believed that Butch was too dangerous for her fragile hearted sister and their relationship would just end in heartache. But the boy, no, the man proved her wrong when she saw how much he truly cared for Bubbles when the unfortunate accident happened. It warmed Blossom's heart when he never left her sister's side through it all. And now it has been three years since then and Butch is still by her side.
She's a bit grateful for the media's own stupidity. They have unintentionally established a barrier of privacy in their love lives. And for this, the Utoniom Family is most grateful for because even heroes need a break from the craziness of television.
