Ichigo sat back on the couch. Life was good. The Winter War was over. The final campaign in Las Noches had unfortunately eaten up most of his summer, but it was still over. Rukia was back, and life had quieted down minus Isshin's usual idiocy. Even Urahara hadn't been heard from for months… How did that shop stay open anyway? The last real customer he'd seen at the shop was Rukia. Oh well. It really didn't have to deal with him, so it wasn't his business.
"Kurosaki!"
Ichigo poked his head out the window. Ishida, Orihime, and Chad were all outside. He quickly rushed downstairs to get the door. Orihime coming to visit wasn't too odd, but Ishida the anti-social was another story.
"Come on in"
"There's no need, Kurosaki. We won't be here long. Turn on the television," Ishida ordered. Shrugging, Ichigo picked up the remote. He saw himself running across the screen, tying some protective head gear on the wring way and shouting like an idiot.
"THE AMAZING HEADBAND OF JUSTICE, EQUIP! THE AMAZING ARMOR OF JUSTICE, PROTECT ME NOW!!"
The camera panned over to Urahara.
"Wow. I can't believe he actually said it."
The corner of Ishida's mouth twitched. There was a yank, and they were all off to the Urahara Shoten. Running un, Ichigo bashed the door down and lopped off Urahara's head.
"Ha! Serves you- Wait. Did I just kill him?"
Blood squirted out, drenching all of them. The body deflated. There was a note attached. Ishida picked it up.
"Thanks for the help. I'm not going to be in the shop for a while as I was reinstated as the head of the Department of Research and Development," Ichigo read slowly. His eyebrow twitched.
"Guys, WE'RE INVADING SOUL SOCIETY AGAIN!"

Elsewhere in Japan, Urahara sat at a comfortable chair. He had to pay the bills, didn't he? Picking up a pen, he signed yet another autograph.
