I watched quietly from the place I had settled in. Watching the streets flood with the usual people. Watch as they go on with their busy lives. Watch and think.
Lately his mind had been off topic. Instead of being on his business it was on the past. The past to which he wished he'd forget. After Naraku died he traveled with the half-breed Inuyasha and his group, because there were still jewels out there. Not many but still some. During this time Kikyo had gone to hell, the monk and exterminator had gotten married, and Inuyasha and Kagome... well he hadn't known. When the jewel was complete Kagome had refused to make a wish.
Of course Inuyasha had been pissed but she shook it off. Not that he minded, for if the hanyou had gotten his wish he would have had a no minded demon to deal with. As expected the monk and exterminator had moved in together.
Though he did not know of Kagome or Inuyasha. He assumed Kagome stayed in the past and mated with Inuyasha no longer second best since the Kikyo woman was gone. He didn't know because he left before then. Not wanting to see the woman he loved mate the man he loathed. Loathed. Maybe that was too harsh a word. But it didn't matter for he had not spoken to Inuyasha since the day he left which was over 500 years ago. Yes he had reached Kagome's time and now understood why she had been so opinionated and different.
Though that was that, others would never meet her level. He sighed and stood. He didn't need to see her. He longed to though, to see her beautiful face once more. Just once and that would tide him over for another 500 hundred years, of his lonely cold world. He walked down the street, wishing yet again that he had told her he loved her. He scoffed. She could never love a demon like him. No, no one could. For a demon like him was cold, heartless. No one could love Sesshomaru.
Authoress Corner:
Just a sad little one-shot about Sesshomaru loving Kagome. I might just write one in Kagome's perspective. It's all up to you reviewers (Wink, wink) (Nudge, nudge) Person Of A Strange Origin or POASO
Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha they belong to Rumiko Takahashi.
