He didn't understand such a thing too well…being stuck in steel for too long did that to you. Robbed you of all senses and made you a hopeless dreamer, wishing and yearning for a thing that you weren't even sure you were going to get. His brother had often said that he would get his body back, so for his sake he still hung on to that fading hope…
But even so…
Looking at a scene like this only made things seem bleaker than they already were in his mind.
A man and a woman, walking hand-in-hand, looking at the flowers in the greenhouse without a care in the world. What would it be like to be with someone like that?
What would it be like to be with him like that?
No.
There was no way.
They were both men, besides…and even if you didn't count that, two hundred pounds of steel couldn't possibly make a man like him happy.
