Prologue:Jacob

A young faceless woke up in the middle of a night period to the sensation of someone straddling him. He looked up and recognised the face of Alice Liddell,his coworker who was an outsider from another land.

She was smiling down at him and the faceless couldn't help but blush. He'd had a crush on Alice ever since she'd smiled at him and introduced herself as Alice. She had treated him as if he was special and not just another faceless man.

"Alice,what are you doing here?"he asked.

Alice beamed, "I came here to tell you something."

"What is it?"

She beamed wider, "It's a secret though. Can I trust you with it or will you tell someone?"

'you can trust me with anything,Alice.I love you,"he said.

She giggled and cocked her head at him,"okay then. I'll tell you my remember don't tell!Okay here it is,my secret revealed... I have a curse!a curse that no one can break,only me and even I can't break it."Her smile seemed too wide,her eyes too wild. It sort of scared the faceless just the tiniest bit.

"What is that curse,Alice?"he found himself asking.

She leaned close to him and whispered in his ear,her breath hot against his skin,"Insanity."

he drew back in confusion, "What do you mean,Alice?"

"What I said. Really now,Jason, thought you were smart. I said my curse is insanity. What do you think that means?"Alice asked in a playful voice,resting her head against his chest.

"That you're insane?"

"Exactly,"murmured Alice in a contented voice, "Pardon me for a moment,Jason. I just find it soothing to hear your heart. Oops,sorry,"she giggled, "You don't have a heart. i forgot. Tick tock goes your clock!Time is running out,is what I want to shout!"

"Alice,why are you so strange tonight?"

"Strange,you say?I'm always being strange. Tonight should be no different,"Alice said and slowly licked his neck and Jason felt himself start.

"What are you doing,Alice?"he asked,face red red red.

"Do you want me to stop?"

"No."

"Oh,so lustful,"Alice replied as she licked him more,nibbling here and there, "Hey Jason can I tell you one of the reasons why I love this world so?

"Why?"he said as Alice began rubbing his manpart."Ah!"he groaned,jerking when she hit a sensitive spot.

Alice giggled, "What a dirty creature you are,Jason."Still laughing she said, "Okay,I'll tell you why. Here in this world life is so meaningless. I can kill all I want and I'll never get in 's another secret of mine. Almost every night period I go out and kill all I can!It's so fun! But just killing faceless people is too easy,so guess what Jason!"

jason was feeling chills in his spine now. Alice looked so mainaly and was speaking so passionately and what did she mean when she said she went out and killed all she could every night period. Alice wasn't like that. She was a sweet kind girl with a shining smile.

"What?"he replied and Alice laughed.

"No,guess. Actually nevermind,you'll take too long to guess so I'll just tell you,"she said. She drew herself up and looked down at him with a shining smile, "I'm going to kill all the role holders!Now that will be a challenge,alright!"

Jason opened his mouth to say something when something cold and sharp slid into neck and sliced sideways. Warmth spilled from the cut and down his shirt.

"Oh,what a fascinating red your blood is,"murmured Alice,bending down to lick his neck again. But this time there was nothing erotic about it,only sick insanity."But how boring it's getting!"

She took another lick and climbed off of him.

"Good night,Jacob. Have sweet dreams for me,okay/"Alice said chirpily as she pulled out the blade from his neck while wiping her mouth with her arm."I got to go now,so that's it. It was great talking to you though."

He didn't respond however and she sighed before walking away.

Hopefully killing the role holders would be more interesting. Hopefully.
