Part One.
What is Missing?
After a busy day of evil scheming, mustache twirling, and failed experiments; Dr. Robotnik, or other wise known as the bombastic Eggman, lays back in his chair with a look of complete disgust on his face. The rusty genius stares at the screens of computers and gadgets that he built with his own gloved hands. Only, and if only, he could use those same hands to capture and torture that annoying cobalt mammal that is called a hedgehog. Everyday he comes up with a plan to swat that pest, Sonic out of the way. He has stopped the process of monumental aspects Eggman has tried to accomplish in the past, and every attempt to get rid of this roadblock has failed. Even thinking about it sends a tremendous burst of anger into his mind. But that isn't the only thing troubling Eggman, something else has been pondering him. Something a tad bit off has been happening. Sonic's attitude has changed, he lost the luster of his personality. It didn't began in the last couple of weeks or even months; Sonic's attitude changed a long time ago, and Eggman is just now realizing it.
He sat there for hours and hours trying to compute with this new way of his enemy, but he couldn't. Sonic isn't the bubbly, egotistic brat anymore, now he's just the antisocial, laid-back bastard he despised. What could have taken away the blue twit's spark? Puberty? Boredom? Depression? No,no, it feels as if none of those are correct. It feels like there is something missing; but what? The center of Eggman's frustration and confusion. What is missing? He does not know, it seems like nobody knows.
Watching from afar, Metal Sonic is amused by the muttering and babbling of Eggman. With nothing else to do, he walks towards Eggman, intruding on his deep spiral of thoughts.
