Remember Forever
(A Harry Potter poem to honor those who gave their life fighting the dark. And to honor those that perhaps added a bit of happiness by remembering to turn on the light) Enjoy with chocolate and tissues! By: Alyssa Campbell
Remember those lost today
Because though they have passed on and away,
They will remain in our heart
For they have been there from the start
It all started with a boy named Tom
Whose way of thinking was clearly wrong
He grew to be a deadly force
But none can decide which is worst-
The wrath and destruction that he left
Or the fact he never felt love as he went
James Potter, oh the arrogant prat
He wanted Lily Evans, and a relationship to last
Lily resisted and yelled she hated him
But still every time he saw her, his heart filled to the brim
For her, he changed, to be a better person
Because with her on his side, he would always win
Lily Evans, brilliant and kind
Despite her age, eternally wise
Though a certain Potter left her head over heels
It was years before she confessed how she feels
Finally together, they had a son
Though barely knowing their love, he became the Chosen One
Sirius Black, one of those truly light souls
Faced more darkness than most can behold
Framed for a crime he didn't commit,
Withstood the punishment with nothing more than his wit
When he escaped, there were few who knew
Who he really was, and what he did and didn't do
Fred Weasley, a half, the perfect redhaired twin
With George by his side, he would always win
But he gave his life fighting for the cause
And because of that, he will never be lost
His mischievous grin seen in his brother
His memory alive in the soul of another
Nymphadora Tonks, always brilliantly bright
But tonight she was extinguished, just like a light
She was Remus' soulmate, she knew from the start
But it took much more convincing to work her way into his heart
So together they were, and they died hand-in-hand
So, as they fell, they fell together, out of this land.
Remus Lupin, kind,caring,bookworm
Always ready to protect his friends from harm
Wary at heart, afraid of the monster within
A werewolf, he believed, was his most dreadful sin
But Nymphadora helped him see the light
And through the darkness he knew, all would be alright
