This is an old fanfic I made back in 2010. I still have the notebook I wrote this fanfics in Its been years now, and I was meaning to put it on this site, but I haven't till now. I thought it was time, since the pages of my notebook are turning yellow. Q_Q Hope you like this!
Also, I don't own Fusionfall, or any of the Cartoon Network Characters. Just my current and upcoming Ocs
In the year 2010, Numbuh 1 and Dexter arrived to earth (Our world) with an announcement. He claimed that Fuse will arrive to our world and destroy our planet and its inhabitants. Numbuh 1 and Dexter spoke with our world leaders to ask for their help. Eventually, the world leaders came to an agreement, setting aside their own worldly disputes for another time. The world leaders provided troops and ammunition. Women, children, and the elderly were grouped together and put into safe zones, scattered across the Cartoon Network Universe.
All wildlife were also put in safe zones so that Fuse could not get hold of them. Adolescence beginning at the age of 15 were offered (not forced) to help aid this war between Fuse and his minions. When Fuse had finally arrived to our world, he had found it empty. No trace of human or animal life were found. Nonetheless, he claimed our world as his own. To this very day, the war between us and Fuse continues to rage on.
Chapter 1: Newbie Duty
Numbuh 274 makes her way down the hall of Pokey Oaks Junior High.
"Morning Numbuh 274." Says one operative who walks by.
"Morning," replies Numbuh 274
"Long time no see, Numbuh 274, hear you got Newbie Duty." Says another operative also walking down the hall.
"Is that what we're calling it now?" Numbuh 274 chuckled.
Numbuh 274 turns to the right, walking down a different hallway. She meets an operative waiting for her outside the gym.
"Morning Dahl, ready for Newbie Duty?"
"Seriously, Jim? Is calling it Newbie Duty a trend or something?" Dahlia smirks.

"Oh come on Jim, it wasn't that bad."
"Hey, we were in different squads. You weren't there to see my suffering."
"Yeah sure, if you call doing a few sit ups and pushups torture."
"Hey, I was a scrawny weak kid."
"Yeah, and now look at you. In shape, and still single…"
"Hey, I resent that…" Jim whines Dahlia chuckles.
"Let's just go. We're already late."
Combat skills class: A class kids take to learn how to fight. Before taking on ranked missions. Dahlia and Jim were assigned to substitute the class, on the first day, since Max Tennison A.K.A. Grandpa Max, (Who was the teacher) has been on a plumber mission for a week and will return first thing tomorrow morning. Dahlia and Jim push open the gym door.
The other side of the door revealed a gymnasium filled with students waiting for their instructor to arrive. All eyes were on Dahlia and Jim. A woman approaches them. Alexandria Michael. An acquaintance and the principle of the school.
"Its about time you guys got here. You're 15 minutes late…" she said.
"Can't blame me, Dexter just assigned me this job." Dahlia said.
"Yeah, and I was…in the bathroom!" Jim said.
"Nice excuse." Dahlia said with sarcasm.
"Its okay, I'm not mad." Alex looks at her watch. "Look, I gotta go. Good luck."
"Yeah, we're gonna need it…" Jim said. Alex chuckles. She exits the gym.
"Let's do this thing." Dahlia said.
They walk to the front of the gymnasium to face the students, who were chatting with each other.
"Alright nubs, listen up!" The gym became silent.
"I am Numbuh 274, and this is Numbuh 1200. We'll be your instructors for today." The crowd of students muttered to each other.
"Now, we will be putting you in temporary groups. How well you do today, will determine which squad you will be placed in tomorrow." Dahlia turns to her left and points at a machine with a camera.
"That machine up there, will record each individual's performance and statistics."
"Here are some ground rules. No foul play, cursing, or fighting amongst you, your team, or a fellow student. Failure to obey these rules, will result in immediate suspension." Jim said.
"Now, we will put you in teams of-" Dahlia begins to say.
"Hey, excuse me, I heard Grandpa Max was supposed to be our teacher. Where is he?" asked a boy. The other students muttered amongst themselves again.
"Max Tennison is away on a plumber and mission and will return tomorrow morning." Jim replied.
"We came here because we heard Grandpa Max was teaching. We don't want no-named, low ranked operatives teaching us!" replied the same boy. The crowd of students muttered again, and some of them nodded and in agreement with the boy.
What that boy had just said, had offended Dahlia. Jim was hurt by the statement as well, but not as much as Dahlia was. Dahlia could care less about a person's ranking. But this boy's arrogance and no respect towards authority was unbearably annoying to Dahlia.
"No-named low ranking, huh? Well, why don't you prove it? Come over here and show me what you've got." Dahlia said.
"Dahl, I don't think this is a good idea…" Jim whispered. Dahlia shushed him.
"No, I don't think you can handle my strength." Replied the boy.
"What's the matter, afraid of getting your butt kicked by a girl?" the students giggled at the boy.
"Alright fine, but you'll be sorry once you get sent to the hospital." Grinned the boy. The boy approaches Dahlia, not like a normal being, but as if he was a male beast trying to attract a female with his manly chest.
"Dahlia, I really don't think that this is good idea…" Jim says to her again.
"Don't worry Jim, I won't hurt him too badly…" Dahlia sets down her bag, then approaches the boy who is already in his fighting stance. Dahlia signals him to attack him first. He comes running, ready to punch her. Dahlia dodges swiftly. The boy fumbles.
He growls and turns around to attack again. Dahlia dodges it again. The boy punches and Dahlia dodges. This same thing happens over and over again. Dahlia can read this kid like an open book. His fighting stance is not stable, he uses the same strategy, and he has left himself vulnerable for an attack.
"What's the matter, too scared to fight back?" asked the boy with confidence.
"No, just the opposite…" Dahlia grinned.
"Come on, coward, you told me to fight you!"
"Alright, I will."
The boy charges at Dahlia. She dodges and elbows him on the back. The boy yelps and falls to the floor. He growls again, and gets back up. He tried to throw a punch at Dahlia again. She deflects his punch, and punches his side. She then punches him in the face. He stumbles backs.
She punches him near the abdomen, punches over and over again, until the boy finally fell to the floor, curled up in a ball, and weeping.
"Get up!" Dahlia yells. The boy remains on the floor, shaking in fear.
"I said, get up!" Dahlia grabs him by his shirt with one arm, and pulls him up. Her other arm ready to punch him. Jim intervened.
"Dahlia, that's enough. He's beaten. Let him go…" Jim said as he grabs her arm. Dahlia lets the boy go, but not gently. With a little push.
"We need to get this kid to the infirmary." Jim said.
"No need. Ed…?" Dahlia's nano Eduardo pops up from her bag. "Yes?" Said the nano Eduardo.
"You know what to do." Said Dahlia. Eduardo turns to see the wounded boy.
"Papas Fritas!" Eduardo yelled. Eduardo's powers had healed the boy's injuries completely.
The boy, being relieved, let out a little sigh.
"Let this be a lesson to you, kid. Do not underestimate your opponent. And don't ever disrespect or bad mouth someone who's of higher ranking than you, do I make myself clear?"
"Yes…" mutters the boy.
"I said, do I make myself clear!?" shouted Dahlia. The boy flinched.
"Ma'am, yes Ma'am!" he yelled.
"Don't call me Ma'am, I hate being called Ma'am! You call me Sir!"
"Sir, yes Sir!" yelled the boy.
"Now get back over there!" The boy did as he was told he walked back to his friends. All of them teasing him. Dahlia pulled Jim aside to talk to him. The two began to giggle to themselves.
"This is so fun! No wonder our teachers used to yell at us!" Dahlia said.
"Did you see the look on that kids face? Boy, did you scare him. If we ever get offered this job again, let's do it!" Jim giggled.
"Okay, Okay, stop laughing. Let's be serious…" Dahlia and Jim stopped for a moment then laughed again.
"Okay, now we really have to stop." Dahlia and Jim collected themselves. Dahlia walks over to pick up her bag, and approaches the students who were all silent.
"Alright nubs! Form 10 groups of 5 right now! You have 10 seconds to find your groups!" The students scatter the gym, running around like little disturbed ants. Dahlia turns to Jim. They both giggle again.
For the rest of the day, Dahlia and Jim had students do practice drills, and team building exercises. By the next day, Max Tennison had returned from his mission. His students were lined up in a perfect formation, and no one spoke unless being spoken to. They were in fear and he didn't know why.
