As far as dates go, this one has definitely been one of Kate's favorites. She and Daniel made reservations at the fanciest restaurant in town to celebrate Kate's new promotion. The two of them laughed, talked, and enjoyed the absolutely scrumptious food for nearly four hours without realizing it. Kate gives the credit to Daniel; he is the only one with whom she is comfortable talking about personal matters for hours with. It is now mid-March, meaning Kate and Daniel have been courting for nearly three months. (Daniel still refuses to call it dating.) After the inn's appraising fiasco, Kate made a deal with Oliver that she was leaving Boston to buy a townhouse near the inn to be closer to Daniel. Due to this decision, Kate and Daniel's relationship has blossomed beautifully.

"Kate, I have had a most wondrous time tonight," Daniel admits, pressing a kiss to Kate's knuckles.

"I am glad I got to spend the evening with you, Daniel," Kate blushes unlocking the car and climbing into the driver's seat. "That's just my luck," she groans.

"Whatever is the matter, my love?"

"My car won't start!"

"I'll walk you home," Daniel offers.

"Daniel, you don't have to-" Kate insists.

"What kind of man would I be if I didn't?"

Author's Note: And there it is! My very first The Spirit of Christmas story! I found this movie after my first semester college exams in mid-December, and I literally watched it three times before Christmas Eve. I AM OBSESSED WITH DANIEL AND KATE! Daniel is just such the perfect gentleman; I want one of him in my life! Can I have a real-life Daniel Forsythe, please? And Kate reminds me so much of myself, even though I'm much younger than her. I'm 18, and I have had two guys I went to high school with tell me that no one asked me out in high school because they were intimidated by how intelligent I am. However, I'm a very approachable and kind-hearted person, much like Kate! Anyway, rambling aside, I love this movie and this fandom; it is now my second favorite Christmas movie, second only to A Christmas Story. Expect many more Daniel X Kate stories from me! I hope you all enjoyed; reviews, as always, are appreciated. Until next time, dear readers! Have an amazing day, afternoon, or night!
