A/N: It's been so long since I last wrote something. :) I didnt have anything else to do on this fine summers day, so i wrote this little short fic. Enjoy.

It wasn't the quiet night sky, or the dull daylight, or the cars that passed by every afternoon. It was one man, a hero. He saved many, the world, his friends, but the only thing he failed to save, was himself.

He didn't have the courage to live a life where he could smile, make a joke, laugh with his friends, be who he really was. There was one thing blocking him, one single thing that changed everything. Fear. He was afraid, scared to admit the truth.

To say what he really wanted to say.

To feel what he had always dreamed of.

To be the happiest man alive.

To have what every man should have.

He did know one thing though, and that was that he had something to protect. Everything else did not matter, except her. She mattered to him more than anything. If he had to die a thousand deaths for her to live, he would.

To make her smile like no other man ever could.

Tifa.

He knew that feeling. In the back of his heart, the depth of his soul, he felt it. He knew what it could be, and how powerful it could evolve. How extravagant her movement as she swirled around the bar, serving drinks to everyone with the help of two kids. There wasn't another thing in the world that made him smile like he did when he saw her.

And he did say what he really wanted to say.

He felt what he had always dreamt of.

He was the happiest man alive.

His blue eyes mesmerized it. Her eyes would tingle, her lips curl, and a small little smile would creep up upon her gentle face.

"Cloud, do you know how far the sky goes?" Denzel asked with Marlene looking at him with curiousity.

Cloud smiled for a moment and shook his head, "I don't know."

"We'll go ask Tifa then," Marlene grumbled and ran off with Denzel.

He watched as they neared Tifa and began to ask her, she shook her head and looked up toward him. He smiled at her as their eyes locked. She smiled back, and went back to serving drinks.

He glanced down at the bundle and smiled.

He didn't know how far the sky went or anything else in the world, but he did know one thing, he had what every man deserved.
