Summary: Sequel to the other way around. Piper doesn't understand why she had failed when someone shows up to explain.
Piper sat in the attic flipping through the worn pages of the thick book of shadows. She ran her finger tips across the old, green cover of the book.
Piper reached the last page inside the book as a tear began to drip along her cheek. "Prue, why couldn't I save you? I tried spells, potions, healing, going back in time but nothing worked. Why didn't it work?" she asked.
A swirl of yellow lights appeared next to Piper. "Prue?" Piper asked wiping the tears away from her now red eyes.
"Yes, Piper, it's me." Prue stated.
"How, how is this possible?" Piper asked.
"The elder sent me down to explain." Prue replied.
"Explain why you had to die?" Piper asked.
"Exactly." Prue said.
"Well, I'm listening." Piper stated.
Prue walked over and sat down next to Piper.
"So, why did you have to die? Why did that baby have to die?" Piper asked.
"Piper, its all part of destiny. That baby wasn't meant to be born just like I was meant to die." Prue said.
"Prue, that's a bunch of bull shit. The elders can't just kill my older sister and expect that destiny is gonna make up for it!" Piper shouted.
"Piper, the elders didn't kill me. A demon did. That's what demons try to do. That's what Shax was meant to do." Prue replied.
"Shax existed to make me sister less?" Piper asked.
"Piper, sister less isn't a word. And when you put it like that it does sound bad." Prue said.
"Then what way can you put it that makes it sound good?" Piper asked.
"Shax helped me to continue on with my destiny as well as yours." Prue replied.
"How do you figure?" Piper asked.
"Piper, your destiny was to meet Paige and continue the charmed destiny with her. You wouldn't have been able to do that if I was still alive." Prue explained. "And me, I'm in peace now. With Andy and mom and grams."
"But what about me and Phoebe?" Piper asked.
"Piper, your destiny has just begun and so has mine. You're never alone and even though things feel dark right now don't give up hope. Blessed be." Prue said and disappeared the same way she had appeared.
"Blessed Be." Piper repeated.
I hope you enjoyed it. please review.
