Ch.1 Not Again

Wert was running (or undulating rather) down the street to get a good look at the launch at the Benju 1, Kelgia's most advanced communication satellite, when he caught sight of his friends with his four, stalked eyes. "Guys!" he called. They swiveled they're eyes to meet his. "Come on over, we saved you a spot!" called Reta whom he liked more than a normal friend (hint hint) Attention, there are 30 seconds remaining until launch, said a voice over a loud speaker. "This is so exciting!" said Reta while her silver fur was shaking with excitement & anticipation, as was everyone else's. 20 seconds. "You think we'll be able to see it?" asked Ders another of Wert's friends. "We should be able to even though everyone in town's here to see it" said Wert. BOOM The sky turned a fiery red orange color as rings swirled around the city. "WHAT WAS THAT? DID THE ROCKET GO OFF? WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE SKY?" Those were a few of the random questions that the Kelgians asked as they were sent through time & space all the while the countdown commenced, 3 2 1 liftoff. Once the rings stopped The Benju 1 took off but unfortunately everyone was too bewildered to notice.
