A/N: This is my first Naruto fan fiction, my first fan fiction, and my first completed piece of writing. I would love and appreciate comments and criticisms. I'm not much of a writer, I'm more of a reader. This story is born 9 months and 15 days to the day I opened an account. Kinda sad, ain't it? And to think I'm an aspiring writer…This didn't turn out how I wanted it, but it is the best I can do ; ;

Disclaimer: Kishimoto owns Naruto, Naruto owns me, and life moves on.

Kyuubi no Yoko, the most powerful of all the tailed beast, a being as old as time, with thousands of deaths to his name, was actually sealed in a newborn human child.

He abhorred humans and their pitiful weakness.

The fact that Uchiha Madara had awoken Kyuubi and had the audacity (and power) to send him to do his bidding, led Kyuubi to concede to him a grudging respect. But that did little to lessen his anger.

Disruption of his slumber, made Kyuubi's attack all the more fierce and intense in its anger and hatred.

After the shinigami had taken Minato and Kyuubi had regained his bearing, he was anything but calm. He raged and hurled his mass repeatedly at the metal gate. But the fresh seal and the lingering spirit of the Yondaime kept him at bay, not giving an inch.

In the end Kyuubi decided to just bide his time, eventually the seal will weaken and he would get out or he would take over the body.

To this end, Kyuubi watched the boy and the world through the child's eyes.

As Naruto developed from the instinctual phase of infancy, grew, and matured, Kyuubi saw and learned much, about the world, humans, and his host.

When the time came for recognition, Kyuubi thought he was prepared. There he stood in front of the gate. A glance at the slightly fading seal, then he stared straight into the darkness. Fearful, apprehensive, and a little excited, Naruto met Kyuubi. It was no surprise that he stood his ground and got what he wanted.

Later on Kyuubi couldn't help but wonder at himself. Of course self-preservation was the top priority, but he had actually shared his power willingly.

He learned to recognize and label human feelings. Through Naruto, Kyuubi learned of "sadness" and "loneliness". He knew of "cruelty" and could do little but watch as his host suffered.

The years of imprisonment had slightly humanized Kyuubi, and he began to honestly appreciate his host's strength. Still though, the boy wasn't that bright and his happy-go-lucky attitude could get tiring.

Nothing could keep him from yearning to be out in the open, stretching his nine tails (getting revenge, spilling a little blood, watching people cower and flee in terror)

As he felt his brethren being taken, one by one, he knew it was only a matter of time. While Naruto was training, Kyuubi sensed the capture of the eight tails and knew time was almost up. Not that he would ever admit it, but he had confidence in Naruto. The boy had unrecognized powers all his own, and Kyuubi knew it was only a matter of time...

A/N:Please read and review. I write fanfiction to improve my writing so that I can eventually write something original. I would really appreciate comments, questions, criticisms.
