As always I don't own C.M., the Easter Bunny did not give it to me.
It was the F.B.I.'s Annual Charity Ball, Arron Hotchner was crossing the ballroom to get to the bar, when he noticed that his newest team member was in line in front of him. He noticed something that had surprised him. Alex Blake was wearing a Royal blue backless gown, that wasn't what has surprised him, what surprised Hotch was what was on the small of Blake's back. It was a tattoo, Hotch looked closer, it was a tattoo of a pink carnation. It was so nicely done that it look real.
Blake must have felt Hotch's gaze on her back, because she turned around at that moment. She met Hotch's eyes."Good Evening, Hotch," Blake said. "Good Evening, Blake, you look nice" Hotch replied. I never knew you had a tatoo, it is very realistic looking Hotch went on to say, is there a speacial meaning to it?"
"Thank you", Blake replied, "yes there is a speacial meaning to it. My husband and I got matching tattoos before he left for his rotation with the Docotors without Boarders. We chose the pink carnation for it's meaning. "What meaning does the pink carnation have Hotch asked"
"The pink Carnation has two meanings, The first meaning is Enduring Love, The second meaning is Unforgetable. While my husband is in Sudan with his unit of Doctors and away from me, all he has to do is look at his wrist and know that I am thinking of him. Just like all I have to do is touch the small of my back and know that he is thinking about me" Blake explained.
"That is very touching" Hotch said as he made a mental note to buy some pink carnations for Hayles grave.
