Midnight woke up to find himself laying against a tree, in the forest. He was outside of Crime Sorciere's temporary base. The other members of Crime Sorciere were nowhere to be seen. Running a hand through his spiky black hair, Midnight stood up. When did I last go to sleep? He mused.

Midnight found a note taped on his forehead. He skimmed over it, not interested. Something about how the rest of Crime Sorciere, besides Richard, left him in the forest because he preferred to sleep rather than walk. Also, his usual form of transportation, a flying carpet, had disappeared. It was hard to fight dark guilds when you had to drag a sleeping person everywhere. They would come back and pick him up in three months. Three months! How inconsiderate. From the ragged state of the note, he decided that he had been sleeping for a week or two. Midnight crumpled the note and tossed it into a hole.

Somewhere in the distance, Midnight heard a loud booming voice. "Oh yeah!" It was the unmistakable yell of his annoying comrade, Hoteye, or Richard. Groaning, Midnight dragged himself toward the voice. He did not want to deal with Richard first thing when he woke up, but since his so called guild ditched him in the forest, there was no other choice.

Richard was in a clearing, yelling with joy and smashing/hugging another blockhead. "Midnight!" he yelled. "Meet my long lost brother, Wally!"

Midnight promptly left, not bothering to get tangled in Richard's shenanigans. "I'm going to travel the world with him!" Richard declared. It seems he was also ditched by Crime Sorciere.

Midnight walked away, debating whether or not he should go back to sleep or find his guild and yell at Jellal. He was feeling tired, so he went back to his tree and got ready to take a nap. Just for a day, he resolved. Little did he know he wouldn't wake up for a while. He had sleeping issues.
