It is a late night in bar HOMRA, after a rush of one of Kusanagi's holiday gimmicks to bring in extra revenue.
And Totsuka cannot find his camera. Nor can he fine the princess. Now, he was not a man who bothered with high school, but basic equation skills tell him that somehow HOMRA's princess has decided to borrow Totsuka's camera.
"I ain't tellin' ya where she took it," Kusanagi points out.
Well that's one way to treat a man on his birthday.
Were this the other around, Totsuka would be going on a spree about how everyday is a day to celebrate being alive, so Kusanagi dismisses the pout he receives.
Hmm.
The bartender has a point, so Totsuka laughs it off and sits down on the couch with a shrug.
"You're that quick to drop the topic?"
"If it's Anna who has it, there shouldn't be any worries," Totsuka says lightly.
19:30
The relaxed drawl of the evening spans out, and now the only thing that interrupts the bartender and guitarist's conversation is the sound of the door's entry bell ringing.
Next to the usual indifferent looking King is Anna, with a video camera in her hand. Before Totsuka can get a word in, Anna hands him a tape and sets the video camera down.
"Happy Birthday," she states simply. She quietly but quickly adds that he should watch the tape.
This is certainly curious, but Totsuka does get to setting things up to watch things.
When he gets to watching it, he can admit he didn't expect this. For the most part, Anna's just recording places Totsuka's recorded on his own, and really, the only difference is the height difference here.
Totsuka smiles lightly while asking Anna how she got the idea.
"You once said that different perspectives give different views," Anna explains. She wanted to experiment with that as a present.
That.
Is really impressive.
Totsuka's grateful.
"Say, Anna, I have an idea," Totsuka states.
The white-haired girl tilts her head. It's not obvious, but there's a slight curiosity in her red-violet eyes.
"As of next year, we can that a sort of tradition or running gag of ours," Totsuka starts, "Around next January or February, we can try comparing different perspectives of the same views."
It would be enjoyable. A nice way to spend some quality time.
