The snow glowed white on the mountain that night, there wasn't a footprint to be seen, she waited in her kingdom of isolation, the queen who couldn't let them in, couldn't let them see. She tried to be good, to conceal and not feel, but know they knew. She let go of her fears and ran, feeling freer than she'd ever felt and couldn't hold it back anymore, slamming the prison door of fear behind her. He watched her from above, smiling, as she had her moment of freedom. The Ice palace was glittering in the faint ray of sun that peeked through the clouds as he landed on the window sill and peered in and saw her, curled up in a corner a single tear falling and shattering on the ground.

"This is an awesome palace," he said slipping inside, turning to take in everything. She looked up startled and saw him, both scared and grateful for his company.

"Who are you?" she asked cautiously as she stood up.

"A friend," he replied simply, showing her his power. Her eyes widened and tears threatened to spill over, he thought he'd be fine, 150 years to grow accustomed to the loneliness, but that didn't stop the tears from pooling in his eyes too. They had each lived alone because of their powers, and now that they were so close to someone who understood that pain that the overwhelming joy was tearing them up inside as they rushed into each other's arms. He felt her hesitate, ever so slightly, at his cold touch and felt the fear of loss well up in his heart.

"Sorry, I can only keep you cold." Jack Frost said with a half smile, turning away from her. She grabbed him and pulled him in close.

"The cold never bothered me anyway." Elsa's tear streaked face looked up at him with a smile which Jack reciprocated and embraced her.

They stood in the cold yet comforting embrace, feeling all that which was painful be swept away in the icy wind, and knew they would never feel lonely again.
