One

He looked up as her heard her high heels clacking into his office, & was surprised as he saw put a cup of coffee on his desk, knowing how much she loathed having to get him coffee. "One", was all she said before she turned around to leave.

"Felicity", he called to her as she reached the door. "Hm?" was how she responded. "Why?" "Why did I bring you coffee? Because you kind of needed one after everything that happened today". "No", he said as stood up & walked over to her. "Why did you stay?"

"Ok, I'm very confused now. What are you talking about?" she says. 'God, she's so cute when she's trying to figure something in her head'. He quickly shakes that thought from his head, knowing if he doesn't say what he wants, no needs to say to her, he probably never will.

"When you first found out about what I & Diggle do, you said you would only help until we found Walter, & then you would go back to the IT life". "I know, I was there", she says confused as to where this conversation was going.

"But you stayed, & then the Glades happened, & instead of leaving, you stayed again. Made me a new bow, changed the lair for the better, & looked for me. Why?" Felicity now knew where it was going. Sort of. Oliver had something up his sleeve that she didn't know about. So she answered not sure what was going to happen after she told him.

"Because I believe in what we do. We make a difference & protect & save people. Also because you guys are my family. Diggle is my big, over protective brother. And I'm still trying to figure out what you are, because there is no way siblings act the way we do with each other."

That was not what Oliver expected at all. He also didn't expect that he would pull her into him & hold onto her as if his life depended on it. And neither did her, so she couldn't help it when let out a little confused squeal.

"Thank you", he mumbled into her hair. "Thank you for staying with me. For believing in me. For bringing me back to reality & trusting me after everything. But most of all, for helping me & showing me another way".

When they pulled back, he saw silent tears going down her cheeks but was confused to see she was also smiling. "Why are you crying?" he asks being the one that is confused this time. "Their happy tears. No one has ever said anything that nice to me."

"You should be given compliments every day. At work & when you walk through your front door, while smelling homemade Italian diner coming from your kitchen." "That's pretty specific, Oliver". "Also, something that will not be happening anytime soon, seeing as how I'm single."

"Well, that's not right. That's got to be changed immediately". "What are you going to do? Threaten somebody to date me?" she says with a little smile. "One better, Felicity Meghan Smoak. I would be honored if you would let me take you on a date." Felicity's smile falters a little. "I don't need a pity date, Oliver."

"It's not a pity date, Felicity. When I went back to the island after what happened, I thought of you every day. Your smile, your cute little rambles, your sweetness, & how cute you look when you try to figure something out in your head. The day before you guys showed up, I promised myself when I got back I would finally pull my head out of my ass, & finally ask you on a proper date.

"So Felicity, may I take you to dinner tomorrow night?" and then her lips were on his & he took that as her answer.
