Song-Writer's Note: For those of you who read "Someone" and wanted to know more about my singing group, well here's more about it. This is a song I wrote about what a regular day on tour is like, and why traveling with these people is such an awesome experience. Because you're not just performing...you're changing lives. Read and enjoy...and please review while you're at it, if it's not too much trouble. Thanks!

Tour Again

Waking up at 6 am,
Eating a hurried breakfast
Packing up our bags, getting in the car
Driving off at a hurried rate
Hoping and praying we won't be late
That's how the mornings usually are

Loading up our suitcases
Cramming into the bus
Settling down for the long,
Six-hour drive
Naptime's over way too soon
Lunchtime rolls around at noon
Hope I can hold it 'til we arrive

(Chorus)
The Continentals are family to me
It's what I love to do,
It's who I wanna be
I want to witness for my King
Oh I'd do anything
If I could just tour with you again

Parking next to our concert site
Grabbing our garment bags
Wondering "Are the dressing rooms
Here or there?"
After setup comes dinnertime
Pizza AGAIN? Oh hey, that's fine
Only half an hour to do makeup,
Clothes and hair

(Bridge)
Now we're all lined up
Ready to run onto that stage
The lights dim down,
And the pastor goes up to pray
The people applaud, the music starts
And with eager smiles and joyful hearts
We go up there with all we've got
To show that Jesus is the Way

Trying not to mess up the dance moves
And reminding myself to keep smiling
No matter how tired you are,
Keep acting like you're having fun
Then the lights grow soft,
And the music does too
The director comes up and invites you
To an eternal friendship
With Jesus Christ, God's Son

(Bridge)
And as I hear them repeat the prayer,
A tingling thrill runs through my spine
And I peek one eye open,
Just to see what God will do
I can see their hands raised
To heaven high
I can hear angels celebrating in the sky
And my heart overflows with a joy
That's so pure and true
Lord, I know that kind of joy
Can only come from You

As we finish singing our final song
I feel so satisfied
I'm so full of joy and gladness,
I could shout
(Shout it from a mountain-top)
I gave it my all, there's nothing I lack
Sinners got saved,
And the strays came back
That's what the ministry's all about

(Chorus)
The Continentals are family to me
It's what I love to do,
It's who I wanna be
I want to witness for my King
Oh I'd do anything
If I could just tour with you again

If I could just tour with you again

If I could just tour with you...

Again.

Song-Writer's Note: So did ya like it? I hope it at least gave you an idea of what touring is like. It really is amazing to see people getting saved like that, and knowing that God used YOU to do it is especially awesome.

Anywho, read-and-review;
I'd really like to hear from you!

Sorry..that rhyme just now popped in my head, so I put it in.

Oh yeah, if you'd like more info about the Continentals or book a concert at your church OR even audition to be part of their group, call 1-800-481-7464 and tell them that Stephanie C. told you about them. The staff at the Continental office are all very friendly and I'm sure they'd love to hear from you. :-)
