No camera here. Definitely none of them existed here.
My eyes deliberately scanned the room, glanced at every crook and corner to detect that suspicious device. Yep. I convince myself for the 62354th time that there's definitely no camera here. Almost forgot to breathe, I exhaled deeply.
That took some of my uneasiness away. But the main course was still waiting.
"Ne…Airin."
I felt my heart skip a beat. That voice. That cute voice that tickled my ears every time they sounded. The voice that made me could do nothing but let out the heat spread down my cheeks. Voice that also made me smile awkwardly while covering half of my face with my hair or something I could reach nearby. Sooner or later I had to respond into that voice, before it became louder and got in repeat and something unwanted happened,
"Y-yes, Matsui-san?"
Although I was certainly sure this is not in a broadcast or dokkiri or such, I still felt uneasy. Being in the SKE dressing room alone with Matsui Rena was never happened in my deepest thought. I turned to her, but my eyes locked in her hair, unable to look in the eyes. It was too embarrassing. I saw Rena throw herself beside me after putting some stuff in her locker. She then smiled to me, a kind of smile that I could value as odd. Odd from a Matsui Rena.
"Eh…what's wrong Matsui-san?" I asked again, made sure that she wasn't smiling for something indecent I did, or the simplest thing, something strange in my face. I unintentionally touch my cheek to reassure my thought. I felt nothing but something warm spread around my cheeks. She let out low chuckle. Another type of Matsui Rena's voice that made my head turned anywhere but her.
"Ne…Airin kawaii…" she giggled again. I awkwardly laughed, it was the fourth or fifth she said today, mostly in front of camera. I nodded stiffly, "Hai, arigatougozaimashita. Matsui-san is also kawaii…"
Believe me I was saying that while looking at the ground. The gravity seemed love my eyes so much.
"Ehh I'm so embarrassed…" she put her hands covering her face. "Eh, why?" I asked immediately. That sentence supposed to be coming from a Furukawa Airi, not Matsui Rena.
"Because they already know I had your picture as my cellphone display….Aaaah it's embarrassing!" She mumbled and then laughed. She dragged me into laughter too. "Eh, it's okay Matsui-san, besides it's not only you…" I recalled the moment when half of SKE members found out mine in a dokkiri show, I was so embarrassed as well because Rena was there too.
"Ne…I can't help Matsui-san is so kawaii." I cursed myself after saying such statements. I didn't know why my tongue could manage to burst such confession to her. I laughed instantly while hindering my face with a paper.
"Eh…Airin is kawaii too so, eh look at me, Airin!" she tried to take the paper off and I hummed, "Y-yes…okay!" and finally I was able to look her in the eyes. One second, two seconds, oh…every seconds felt like forever.
"We are alone here, what makes you so steamed?" Rena said while she's getting closer to me. I blinked several times, "Eh…Matsui-san.."
"Rena"
My eyes widened, "What?"
"It's Rena! Please don't call my family name, Airin.." she smiled. My mouth agape, "R-re.."
While I was trying to call her nickname, I saw her eyes turned into something familiar.
Gekikara's eyes.
"Come on, Airin. Call my name!" she grinned this time. Her eyes forced me to do what she wanted.
"Re-Rena…"
She clasped her hands, "Yaay, Airin! I love you, Airin!" I didn't realize that the next action was so fast when she landed her soft lips in my cheeks. If I were an ice cream, I would be melting by now.
"Eh…eto…I love you too, Rena-chan.."
The temperature in my cheeks couldn't get higher than now.
