(This is Kimiko's POV, for those who don't know. And it's short, but I felt like posting it anyways. Don't judge me. XD)
Oh, now this is rich.
I walked up to the main hall of the temple and nearly blinded myself. Honestly—lights covered every inch of the crappy old building, along with big wooden reindeer and a huge Santa right smack in the middle of it all. A humongous Christmas tree was in one corner, decorated head to toe with flashing decorations.
I could already guess what Brazilian showoff was behind it all.
"Raimundo?" I called out suspiciously, raising an eyebrow in the process.
Raimundo jumped out from behind the tree which made me yelp and jump back.
"If it isn't my favorite little Japanese J-girl!" He grinned. He then turned his head and gestured to the numerous decorations surrounding us. "Like it?"
"Impressive," I admitted. "But have you ever heard of the term 'overkill'?" Raimundo laughed.
"Admit it; it's knocking you off your feet."
"Yeah, yeah, it is pretty cool. What does Master Fung have to say about it, though?"
"I dunno. I haven't seen him around. If he does have a problem with it…well…it's his fault for giving us the next two weeks off," Raimundo replied casually. "We are gonna be so out of shape by the time break is over. Those Christmas cookies my mom sent never had a chance. Especially with this being Omi's first Christmas…"
"Let me guess, he insisted on eating them all to increase his knowledge of the holiday?" I giggled.
"That does sound like him," Rai remarked.
"I can't believe it's only two more days till Christmas. You better have gotten me something good." I mused.
"Same goes here, sister!"
"Glad to see we're so deep when it comes to this holiday," I commented sarcastically. Yawning, I began to turn to leave. "Well, I guess I'll see you around."
"Nuh-uh. You stay right there," Rai commanded. I raised an eyebrow, but obliged. "Look up," he told me.
And so I did. But up there, hung on top of the roof…was mistletoe. Cliché, much?
"There's no way I'm gonna…" I grumbled, starting to stomp out the door. Rai caught me by the arm, and gave me a Bambi-eyes look.
"You wouldn't want to ruin tradition, would ya Kim?"
I pretended to think about it.
"Hm…yes. Yes I would."
Okay, maybe that was a bit of a bluff. Rai is super annoying…but he is kinda sweet. I paused slightly, and then without giving it much thought, leaned over and kissed Rai quickly. When I pulled away, he was bright red and grinning like a moron.
"Well, that was my gift," I said smoothly as I began taking my exit. "You, on the other hand, better have gotten me something good…"
I took my exit smiling smugly to myself.
Score one for Kimiko.
(A.N.) I'll stay away from my computer after this, I PROMISE. XD I just couldn't resist! I've been away from the XS fandom forever, and if I was going to say farewell, I might as well do it with a short and sweet RaiKim. But mostly short.
But yeah, I hope any and all readers enjoyed it. Happy Holidays, for the umpteenth time. I won't be updating anything for at LEAST a week…I think. Gah, I have too much time on my hands. So long, one and all.
