I don't own any of the characters (apart from the two horses)
Jack mounted the jet-black horse; then Jack slipped his feet into the metal stirrups and held the rains in his hands. Nikki sat next to him on a horse of the same colour only hers had a beautiful white star on her head. Jack looked at Nikki then up at the dark night sky with only stars light and small oil lanterns. Jack kicked his horse forward into an extremely quick walk, Nikki's horse was a much easier ride her walk was nice and even unlike Jack's, which didn't really want to ridden. Nikki kicked her horse into a neat trot so that she could keep up with Jack and Midnight (Jacks horse). Midnight didn't like the idea of Star (Nikki's Horse) being allowed to trot. Midnight noticed a field full of lush of green grass. Midnight pulled the rains out of Jacks firm grasp. The horse pulled into a canter Jack tried to keep firmly in the saddle but he couldn't in the near distance Jack saw a wooden gate a locked wooden gate that led into a field, which Midnight was heading for. Nikki gently eased Star into a Canter Star made sure that she had a neat canter but quick enough for her and Nikki to be able to see Jack and Midnight. Midnight saw the gate come into view his speed picked up and before Jack could do anything Midnight had jumped awkwardly which made Jack lean to one side, his hand accidentally hit Midnight's side which Midnight thought meant that Jack want to go quicker. Midnight immediately went quicker. Nikki lifted her body out of the saddle to make it easier for Star to jump the gate. Star cleared it easily and cantered on steadily after she had landed. Nikki looked at Jack and Midnight she began to worry when she saw Midnights ears go right back. Jack went like rock when Midnight began to buck he was terrified, what if he came off? What if Midnight injured himself? Midnight through Jack a bit too far towards the left. Jacks right leg flew over Midnight's back. Both stirrups slipped off Jacks feet, Jacks hands left the rains he fell to the ground with a thud. The grass where he fell was none existent he fell on to some rough group. He lay there, still. Nikki kicked Star into a gallop although Star didn't want to she obeyed Nikki's command. When the two of them got nearer to Jack's body Nikki eased Star into a neat walk then they halted. Nikki dismounted and walked over to Jack. Midnight galloped over towards Star and then the two of them trot the field together. Nikki checked for a pulse. She found a very week pulse but nothing much. Jacks eyes fluttered open and he looked up at Nikki:
Jack: I love you
Then his eyes closed again. The spark that made him, him went. The light went. The stars in the sky disappeared in a blanket of black. Only one small star remained it twinkled at Nikki then it went. The black blanket disappeared and the stars returned. Nikki kissed Jacks cold head and held him close.
Nikki: I love you Jack. I will never forget you, your star will always remind me.
Nikki looked up into the sky again and saw the twinkle of the star she'd always know.
