Making a quick stop during my ENEM preparatory week to post my Rock The Snowy AU contribution, it's basically just a bunch of Branson family fluff enjoying a snow day. Well that is it, see you all soon!
Their plan was to enjoy their day, but due to a completely unexpected snow storm they were now forced to stay at home, and neither Tom, Sybil and especially Evelyn were very happy about it. Evelyn had been asking them to go and play outside, which was now nearly impossible with the snow, nearly, because Evelyn Branson had an idea, and a very logical one. If they wanted to play outside, why not do it on the snow?
"Please ma!" Evelyn said, begging to go outside, something which Sybil and Tom weren't very keen of, not because they didn't like their kids to play outside like in Downton but because Evelyn had been just recovering form an illness and neither Tom or Sybil wanted her to get ill again.
"But my sweet," Tom started siting Evelyn in his lap "Do you remember you have been ill last week? Well, ma and I don't want you to get ill again, but I promise you that if you don't get ill again, we will go with you to play on the snow next time."
"But that was last week, and I am fine now, why can't we play together in the snow? Like we did last winter?" She begged, making such a cute face that made Sybil's heart melt, she was also feeling tempted to go and play on the snow, making snowman and having snow ball fights were something she started doing when she and Tom moved to Ireland, being one of the many things she enjoyed about her new life.
"Just for ten minutes then, please da!" The six-year-old begged, and Tom looked at Sybil and she could see he was finding it hard to deny such a sweet and simple request from his daughter. Sybil sighed in defeat, which made Evelyn giggle and jump from her father's lap to give Sybil a hug and a kiss on her cheek.
"But just for ten minutes and then we will all get back inside." Sybil said "And you will wear many coats little one."
As soon as Sybil opened the door, Evelyn rushed to the small yard in front of the house laughing as she kicked the snow beneath her feet. She quickly started to creat a snowman with Tom, not even bothering to finish it, as Tom looked at Sybil with a mischievous smile on his face and a small snow ball on his hands.
"No, no." Sybil started but it was too late, a snow ball hit her on her arm, she quickly responded by making a bigger snowball, while Tom laughed, she made motions for Evelyn to come to her.
The small girl made another snow ball and together Sybil and Evelyn started to throw balls at Tom, who wasn't laughing anymore, being constantly hit by many snowballs, screaming that it wasn't fair and that Sybil had the upper hand.
"You're in two and I am in only one!" Tom pleaded, kneeling on the ground in defeat and he watched the two most important girl of his life smile proudly at him.
"Alright sweetie, I think that your ten minutes are long gone by now." Sybil said, and Evelyn quickly complied, making only a small pout this time, but it was okay, she just had a very good snow day, and she was eager to tell all about it to her cousins.
"She's a smart, stubborn one isn't she?" Tom said being helped off the ground by Sybil as Evelyn rushed inside their house.
"She is our daughter, what else would you expect?" Sybil laughed, going inside their home, to prepare them all a goop, steamy cup of hot chocolate.
