Okay, so I've come-up with yet another Mo/Jo fic. I love Maureen, so by default, I love Joanne...j/k! I love them both; I just believe Joanne is a little too uptight. Any who, I hope you enjoy! Disclaimer: I don't own, I rent...and it's getting a little pricey...j/k!

Maureen woke up, it was noon. "Ah, fuck," she grumbled. She had missed getting to say good morning to Joanne. She sat on the edge of the bed, twiddling the ring on her left ring finger. It was the only ring she wouldn't take off, it was her engagement ring from Joanne. After sitting there for five minutes, she got up. She slipped into a pair of tight Capri jeans, and a form fitting black racer back tank top. She made herself some coffee, and a small sandwich. She glanced at the clock, 12:30. Joanne wouldn't be home for another four and a half hours at least. Maureen threw away her paper plate, and rinsed out her coffee mug. She slipped into her jacket, and walked over to the flower boutique four blocks away. She purchased a 18 red roses, and returned home. After sticking the roses in a vase with water, she left the apartment once more, this time heading to a small knick knack store. She purchased candles that were supposedly to smell like Spring Rain, a scent Joanne favored amongst candles. Maureen paid the cashier and returned home. She re-entered her and Joanne's apartment and set the bag with the candles in them next to the flowers. She glanced at the clock again. 2:30. "Damn," she muttered to herself. She slipped out of the apartment again, this time in search of wine. By the time she had found a decent bottle of wine, within her price range, an hour had passed. She returned home placed the bottle of wine in the refrigerator, and slipped out of her clothes and into the shower.
Once finished she used six of the roses to spread their petals over in a widened line directed towards the bedroom. In the bedroom, she sprinkled more of the petals onto the bed. Around 4pm, she started making dinner, the most exquisite meal she could, which was pasta. While the pasta was cooking, she slipped into some lingerie, a short, satin, pale blue dress of sorts. She set up the meal for dinner in bed. She then placed the candles in various places in the room, and lit them. When the pasta was done, she dished it out onto two plates, and lay waiting in the bedroom for Joanne to return.
Thankfully, she didn't have to wait long. About two minutes after she had laid down, she heard to apartment door opening. "Honey Bear?" Joanne questioned, observing the rose petals strewn about the floor. "Honey Bear, what's going..." Joanne gasped at the sight of her fiancé waiting for her on the bed, two plates of pasta on trays, and more flower petals scattered on top of the mattress. The scent of Spring Rain filled her nostrils. "Honey Bear, it's beautiful."
"I love you," Maureen whispered.
"What do you say to skipping diner?" Joanne said seductively.
"Whatever you say, Pookie ," Maureen replied, a mischievous smile crossing her lips.
Joanne smiled and removed the trays from the bed. Maureen pulled her onto the bed, and Joanne laid in between Maureen's legs, resting her head on Maureen's breast. Joanne lifted her head, and kissed Maureen on the neck ever so gently.
"This was a perfect birthday gift," Joanne said before placing a fiery kiss onto the diva's lips.
