She didn't know why she was back. The events from 2013 flooded back in her mind where she and Leon ended Derek C. Simmons along with Ada Wong. Images flooded in her mind of letting go of her sister's hand in Tall Oaks. She wasn't there to think about the past though. She was there on a mission to check to check on the residents of China. After talking to the new president, Ingrid Hunnigan, she was dispatched to China by the new chief, Sheva Alomar.
"The plane will be landing shortly, Ms. Harper." The pilot said through the intercom. Helena combed through her hair with her fingers. Her nightmares prevented her from sleeping. She stayed up the entire way there.
"We have now landed in China." Helena stood up. In order to do this mission, she thought, I have to let go. She stepped off the plane and started walking down the steps. Its been two years since she's seen China, after the C-Virus outbreak, after the death of...
Helena shook her head as she entered the limo. After a two hour drive, she arrived in the small town Lingsu. She walked into the nearest buliding.
She was scared. For the second time in her life, 22 year old Renee Macauley was terrified. She ran out of ammo in her pistol, and there was a giant spider-like B.O.W in the next room, ready to rip her body apart. She put her hand on a picture in her coat pocket. "Finn," she said,"If you can hear me, I need your help." As if a miracle happened, and her brother had heard her, a sizzling noise was heard as she opened the door to find the B.O.W burning away. But she didn't want to drop her guard yet. Renee took out a combat knife as she turned around, only to meet a barrel of a gun. The gun was slowly brought down to reveal Helena's face.
"Hello, are you injured?"
"I'm fine." Renee answered quickly. They both looked at the liquid left behind as an agent took a sample and left, leaving the two women behind.
"We need to get out of here!" She grabbed Renee's hand as they ran to the door. Helena felt a force pulling her back before being stopped completely. "What's wrong?"
"I can't leave."
"Why not?" Helena was starting to get slightly annoyed that she couldn't complete her mission. Renee drew a deep breath before saying, "I'm looking for a Mr. Chris Redfield." The name startled Helena.
"Why do you need to see him?"
"I just need closure." She looked at the floor, trying to push back a tear that had formed in her eye. "He was the last person to ever see my brother. I really need to find him." Helena understood where she was coming from. She knew how her sister died, but this woman...
"Fine." She agreed, "I'll take you to him. But hes not in China. Come with me." She gestured Renee to follow her, giving the young woman a little hope.
This was a bit shorter than I expected. This will be the first of Helena's chapter. The next will be Jake, then Chris, and Finally Leon. Then It will repeat.
