Sweet Sicily

Chapter One:

"Feliciano! Lovino!" A short fifteen year old girl was standing between her older brothers' beds, hands fisted at her waist, and screaming. "Get UP! I don't want to be late on the first day back to school!"

"Ugnh, go away Allegra!" Her eldest brother Lovino groaned, rolling over and covering his head with a pillow.

The middle child, Feliciano, didn't even grace his sister with a response, instead muttering something about pasta under his breath. Hazel eyes narrowing, Allegra folded her arms.

"Fine, we'll do this the hard way." Smiling innocently, she swished her skirt, skipping over to Lovino first and yanking on his stray curl before turning to repeat the process on Feliciano. Both brothers bolted up in bed, yelping.

"Allegra!"

The young girl simply giggled, skipping out the doorway.

Around ten minutes later, the grumbling brothers followed her path into the kitchen where Allegra was waiting.

"There you are! Hurry or we're going to be late!"

"Calm down, Alli." Lovino rolled his eyes while grabbing a tomato from the fridge. Allegra swore her brother Lovi was the only person weird enough to eat a tomato for breakfast, instead of something normal like an apple or a banana. …Scratch that, Antonio probably was too…

Glancing over her shoulder, Alli saw Feliciano putting a plate of leftover pasta into the microwave and groaned. "We're going to be so late!"

Twenty more minutes later, and after much yelling from Allegra, the Vargas siblings were making their way down the street to their high school, Hetalia School of Nations. The only unusual thing… scratch that, the most unusual thing about the school was that everyone went by the name of a country while they were there, instead of using their real names. Allegra's nickname was Sicily, Lovino was called Romano, and Feliciano was just named Italy.

On the way there, Alli was busy talking to Lovino while Feli chased a pair of bluebirds down the street.

"Ve~ Birdies, come back! I only want to pet you!"

Alli sighed, shaking her head before returning to her conversation. "Anyway, Lovino, I just hope that boy isn't in my class again. He's so frustratingly annoying!"

"Mhm… what's his name again?"

"Eidoc Anyu, but you might know him as Antarctica." Allegra spat the name like it was poison, and Romano couldn't help but chuckle.

"Ah, that boy. Well, I wouldn't worry too much…."

"Yes, Alli!" Feli reappeared at their side, startling the two siblings. "Don't worry about it! Ve~ maybe this Eidoc will be kind to you if you give him pastaaa~!"

With his advice given, Feliciano took off running again, this time running into the main campus of Hetalia. He disappeared for a moment, only to pop back up again at the side of a tall blonde boy by the name of Ludwig Beilschmidt, known to everyone else as Germany.

Within seconds of noticing Feli, Allegra saw Antonio Carriedo scanning the small mass of students for Lovino, who was currently trying to hide behind his five-foot-two sister.

Allegra sighed. "Good luck with that, Lovi. He'll eventually find you."

The young brunette couldn't grasp why Romano would always hide from Antonio. The young man himself wasn't unattractive, and he was always kind to people. Especially kind, Alli had noticed, to Romano. Yes, she knew Antonio liked her brother, just like she knew Feli and Ludwig would be an excellent match as well.

You know what? Allegra decided to herself, as Antonio finally spotted her brother and happily headed towards them, This will finally be the year that I set my brothers up with boyfriends!
