Hello, dear reader! This is written for the Continue the Story Challenge. I don't know if it turned out as poetic as I would've liked, but I do like it, so let me know what you think! This is continued from Harry Gets A Haircut, so go check that out for my inspiration! XD
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. Yup...that's it. Nothing more. I'm running a bit low on creativity right now.
Little did Harry know his aunt and uncle would extend their "no breakfast" punishment from the haircut incident for an extra week.
All he knew was that he only had one more day until he could eat toast again.
Little did Harry know that his new glasses would only last about a day before Dudley broke them with a well-aimed punch.
All he knew was that he finally had something that was both new and his.
Little did Harry know that the pretty girl with the blue eyes in the front row was only talking to him from a dare and would go back to ignoring him the next day.
All he knew was that he had a new friend.
Little did Harry know that his teacher would stop favoring him when he accidentally turned up on the school roof.
All he knew was that for once an adult was taking his side on things.
Little did Harry know that Mrs. Figg would stop being as fun when Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon had a talk with her.
All he knew was that he had a great place to go when his family was trying to exclude him.
Little did Harry know that his oral report on snakes would end in disaster when he briefly mentioned that the creatures could speak.
All he knew was that he was going to be talking about something he enjoyed.
Little did Harry know any of these things.
Or, perhaps, he did know,
And he just didn't want to spoil his fun.
