Hey guys so this is my first fanfiction on here and I would really appreciate some feedback. Hope you enjoy!
"You actually are joking Perce, I don't think I've seen you joke since you were-" Fred said, then a flash of light cut him off. Fred blinked for a moment, confusion washing over him; he felt strange, as though something was happening to his body. He felt like he was swaddled in cotton and couldn't move. There was a loud popping noise, and suddenly he was free of the cotton. He looked around and saw George lying on the ground next to him, unmoving, the ghost of a laugh etched on his face.
"George!" Fred yelled, and dropped to his knees, reaching for George's head - but his hands passed right through George, as though his hands weren't even there. Fred frowned and tried again, but still he couldn't touch George. But, wait... George lost an ear, but this body still had both ears.
Fred's stomach churned as he realized it wasn't George at all; it was him. He was looking at his own body. He thought he should feel afraid, but he didn't - he felt completely at peace. The scene around him started to grow blurry as though fog or smoke was filling the room, and somehow the scene completely faded away. Fred stood and looked around, the fog coiling its fingers around him - but it wasn't a cold, damp touch, it was warm and soothing.
He looked down at himself; he wasn't wearing his torn and bloodied clothing anymore, he was entirely naked. He wished for some clean clothes and saw some appear at his feet. He pulled them on, for some reason undisturbed by their appearance. When he looked up, the white mist began to clear, forming a clean white train-station. It was a familiar station, one that he knew well from years of going to and from Hogwarts; King's Cross. The train-station was almost entirely empty, except for a single bench which had three people sitting on it, and one person standing next to it - the person standing next to it had evidently just arrived. He recognized all four of them with ease, and a grin crossed his face.
"James and Lily Potter! Sirius, Lupin!" Fred called, waving and walking over to join them. Lupin, the one who was standing, turned to look at Fred and offered a smile.
"And here I was, thinking I was the only one who was coming," Lupin said. "Was Harry doing alright when you died?"
"Yes, I believe he'll win," Fred answered.
"I always knew he would," Lily Potter said, smiling up at James. "I'm so proud of our boy."
"The train will be here any minute," Sirius said, standing up. "Ready to take us to start our next lives. You're just in time, Fred; we need a fourth man."
