Summary: Sawada Hiroshi, a young boy who were to inherit the title of Vongola Decimo. Although he was trained by the infamous Reborn and was trained to be prepared for anything, but he obviously wasn't prepared for the new teacher by the name of Tsunayoshi.
Inspired by; Corkboard's work on The New Teacher, a Harry Potter x -Man cross-over.
Hiroshi was happy. Nothing could ruin his good mood today (not even Reborn who threw him from the second floor because he woke few minutes after his alarm clock had gone off. "You shouldn't depend on it too much, there will be time you'll wake with bullet in your chest, you know."), not even Gokudera who blew up some thugs out of anger. He even looked forward on going to school too!
His friends asked him what makes him so happy that his smile never left his face even after getting beaten up (they were late, mind you) by their school prefect.
The beginning of the new term was a clean-up season after all. Every teacher that was deemed 'unfit' to lead 'the next generation' has to be replaced. It means that Nezu Dohachiro will leave the school (due to various complaint from the parents, he was kicked out after they found out his 'shining reputation' as Tokyo University graduate).
It was a win-win situation for him.
Nothing could ruin his mood after seeing the old-man left the school, dejected.
"Hello, I'm the new Science teacher. My name is Tsunayoshi, you can call me Tsuna for short." The new teacher gave off a warm smile which immediately made almost the entire female student to squeal.
Hiroshi snorted. Really, he couldn't figure out how girl's mind works. The new teacher merely smiled at them and they were asking to be his girlfriend, weren't they considering that this teacher was probably an assassin or even a terrorist? Wait… that was inappropriate, accusing people of crime they haven't done was like committing the crime itself.
"Sensei, do you have a girlfriend?"
The teacher gave her a blank stare before replying in a soft tone that he, unfortunately, didn't have a girlfriend.
"Sensei! I want to be your girlfriend!" a girl at the back said jokingly.
"I'm sorry, I have to decline your offer…" He eyed the male students with a strange glint in his eyes, "Though, I'm sure the gentleman behind you is more suited than I am." before smirking broadly.
…
The teacher laughed it off good-naturedly, seemingly not aware of the silence that ensued after his statement.
…How did he even know?!
The class continued in silence after that, no one (sans the said gentleman) was quite sure what the teacher meant by that. But they got the idea that the teacher was a physic, he even answered question that they haven't asked yet.
Their new teacher was surprisingly young, polite, and kind. He gave off the aura of a calming sea, for the lack of better words. At least, that was what the normal students thinking. By normal, it means people who weren't connected to Vongola.
Of course, Gokudera had to point out that this Tsunayoshi was suspicious.
"Tenth, did you see it?" Gokudera whispered slowly, sitting like a normal student for once.
Hiroshi nodded, noticing the way their teacher always scanned his surroundings before he entered the facility. That, and the way Tsunayoshi kept wearing black leather glove every day.
"Oh, this? I got burnt when I tried to save a cat on a burning house," Tsunayoshi shrug nonchalantly. "It left a nasty burn mark so I mostly covered it up."
Everyone but Gokudera and Hiroshi bought his statement. If it was such a nasty burn, why did the wound was only in his hands?
One thing he was glad about having Tsunayoshi as his teacher was he never gave assignment, or any form of homework. He would teach, sometimes giving tips on how to answer difficult equations (Gokudera considered it as cheating) and then he would gladly answer anything that was thrown at him, even though it was out of topic.
And then came the science exam which everyone passed.
'How?' you ask?
The question was; "Write everything you know about Science." Meaning, there was no limit on how much the students could write.
He easily won over Gokudera, telling the bomber that he shouldn't hold back in his class.
The two became close after that.
One thing they never asked the teacher was his personal life. Hiroshi saw that as a challenge and carefully picked some question he deemed safe.
It was question time (it had become a habit of them to ask random question) and the Vongola heir voiced his question.
Hiroshi was starting to regret ever asking the teacher why he didn't have a surname. He froze, eyes wide for a fraction of second before he pull himself together and stare intently at Hiroshi. After a suffocating silence, the teacher was back to his normal 'teaching mode' but he couldn't shrug off those chilling sensation on the back of his neck.
He was definitely sure that he was on Tsunayoshi's black list after that.
He made sure to refrain from asking such personal question.
Though it didn't stop the teacher from giving him a cold shoulder after that.
It was the beginning of the second term that the teacher was rarely seen, even though he would come few times a month. He would come to school limping, other times they would saw scars on his visible skin (as much as they can see on the long sleeved shirt, and gloved hands).
He would gave off excuse like 'a burglar broke into my house,' or 'I was robbed on my way back' or the more violent activity 'I fell from a cliff; thankfully I could ran away from there before I was eaten by bears'. Of course, no one knew better than to belief those silly excuses.
But no one pointed out the way the man would shiver or how worn out he was.
He smiled less, his body getting scrawnier, and the lack of color on his skin was starting to worry his (beloved) students, and the school staff.
And then he would disappear for weeks before coming back to school supporting more wounds.
Though, now they were better at reading his expression, they could tell he was breaking.
If they waste six month in figuring out what his smiles mean, this time they only need a moment before they conclude that Tsunayoshi might be in danger.
Hiroshi took that as a sign to move, he asked Reborn for assistance and for once, the devil agreed.
…
What they found out later was that 'Tsunayoshi' never existed. They never found out his real identity, the only thing they found was that his entire family died on a burning house ten years ago.
By the time they figured out just who exactly was 'Tsunayoshi', he had long disappeared, leaving no trace behind.
It was as if he never existed in the first place.
AN: I have no plot for this, seriously, this is written because I've had enough of school and yeaaaah.
Thanks for reading this nonsense.
