Hey guys so I've read many Puck/Quinn/Beth fanfics and I had an awesome idea for one of my own. Beth also does not know she is adopted because of the whole thing that happened in Season 3 Shelby decides it's for Beth's own good. Hope you enjoy :)
"Good morning New York City!" the radio host came blaring through the radio. Beth groaned reaching as far as she could, but ended up falling off the bed with a yelp. She sat up and rubbed her head.
"Beth honey, are you okay?" Her mother called from the bottom of the stairs hearing the thump and her daughter's yelp.
"Yeah I'm fine," Beth called back down as she got up and turned off her alarm clock shaking her head taking one look in the mirror her beautiful long blonde hair was a mess. She walked into the adjoining bathroom to her room. The apartment she lived in with her mother consisted of two floors to say her mother made good money was an understatement. She did a lot of work on Broadway and was a professor at Julliard.
Beth lived the perfect life. She went to one of the best private schools in the city, she had the voice of an angel, musically gifted, she was also the head of her high school's cheer team which was rare for a sophomore in high school, and she was beautiful. To say the least Beth was popular. However, Beth felt there was always something missing.
After taking a delightful shower Beth blew dry her hair and curled it. She then she put half of it up with a black bow. She applied minimal amount of makeup which included a neutral eye shadow that made her hazel eyes pop, eyeliner, mascara, and light lipstick. She put on her school uniform which consisted of a nice white blouse, black blazer, and cute black skirt that may have been a little shorter than the dress code asked, but Beth didn't mind breaking the rules every once and a while or often. After fixing her white thigh high socks and putting on her black heels she took one last look in the mirror satisfied with her look and walked down stairs humming Shake It Off by Taylor Swift.
"Well good morning sunshine," Shelby smiled with a giggle as her daughter opened the cabinet to grab her favorite gold sparkly travel mug. Her school colors were black and gold and Beth was very into school spirit. "What are plans for today?"
"Good morning mother," Beth smiled pouring herself a cup of coffee and adding her caramel macchiato creamer and two sugars. "My day is going to consist of school, auditions for the school musical, and cheer practice," she stated and took a sip of her coffee to make sure it was to expectation. "Don't forget we need to book our stay at Casa Berry-Evans for the competition next week in Lima." Although Shelby did not have the best relationship with Rachel in the past they had grown fairly close when Shelby showed up to see Rachel in Funny Girl. They talked on a regular basis and Beth had grown up with Rachel around and it was nice to have big sister figure in her life. After the whole television show flopped Rachel had moved back to Lima to get the glee club back up and running. Rachel also lived with Sam now of days after Finn's death they had grown close when Rachel returned to Lima and eventually started dating and were now living together and planning their own wedding.
"I won't. I already have to call her this afternoon to see if she and Sam finally picked a date," Shelby said taking a sip of her own coffee.
"Lovely," Beth smiled grabbing her school bag giving her mom a kiss on the cheek before heading towards the door. "Don't work too hard today mother."
"Same goes for you kiddo," Shelby called as she watched her daughter walk out the door. She couldn't believe the beautiful young woman she had become. She was beautiful like her mother and stubborn like her father Shelby knew that Puck and Quinn would be proud.
Beth walked out of the apartment building to find Rian, her boyfriend, leaning against the building across the street. She smiled and ran over to him jumping into his arms kissing him like she hadn't seen him in forever.
"Why hello to you too stranger," he said with a chuckle after unlocking his lips with hers which he wished he never had to do. "Miss me?" he asked moving a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear.
"Well since I haven't seen you in over a week I would say I missed you a little bit," she smirked looking up at him. Unwrapping her arms from his neck and holding his hand as they walked down the street to his car.
"Well sorry babe, the band's mini tour went great, and you were the one who was too busy shopping with your mom yesterday to see me. Also it's not my fault you want to keep our relationship a secret from your mother," he stated as he opened the car door for her.
"You know why we have to keep it a secret," she said getting into the car. Shelby was a cool mom and everything, but when it came to boys that was a different story. Shelby kept Beth busy for a long time between, dance lessons, cheer practices, singing lessons, acting lessons, whatever Shelby could put Beth in she did to keep her busy and giving her no time for boys. It didn't help that Shelby pretty much all boys just want is sex and that she didn't want Beth to be a statistic for teen pregnancy. It didn't help that Rian had the rep of a bad boy. So for now it was a tiny white lie that Shelby didn't need to know at this moment. "Besides I thought you liked the whole secrecy thing," she whispered in his ear with a smirk.
Rian couldn't deny it he thought the whole secrecy thing was hot at first, but he wanted to be able to spend more time with Beth and with her weekends soon to be filled with cheer competitions and her weeks already consumed with cheer practice and soon to be theater rehearsals he wasn't sure when he would be able to see her till summer break. He was in love with her the moment he laid eyes on her. He was the captain of the football team and lead singer in his band which meant he could get any girl he wanted and he did till Beth came into his life last year. She would not give him the time of day he tried every romantic gesture he was practically on his knees begging her to go out with him for a night. She finally agreed and it was love ever since.
When they arrived at the school Rian and Beth walked in hand in hand because it was one of the only places they were allowed to publicly display their relationship. In school they were the IT couple. People always murmured around them wanting to know how a girl like Beth was able to tame the school's bad boy.
As they walked down the hallway Rian would not shut up about this amazing musician he and his bandmates met on their tour. The guy was some airman who played music on the side. He was one of the best musicians that Rian had ever seen. "He so cool Beth you would of loved him," Rian stated as they stopped by Beth's locker so she could collect her books for her first couple of classes that were back to back.
"He sounds great handsome," she said checking her hair in the mirror one last time.
"You know babe he kind of reminded me of you," he said with a chuckle.
Beth glared at him, "Some thirty something year old man reminds you of me?" she was puzzled by his remark.
"Not physically, but is sarcastic personality is so similar to him and it's weird like he had certain mannerisms that are similar to you," he said with a shrug shutting her locker for her so she could lean against it.
"Weird," she said looking up at her boyfriend with her beautiful hazel eyes that always made him like it was only him and her in the world.
"You should check out babe you'll like him and even covers KISS' Beth and I know how much you love that song. It's really good," he smiled down on lowering his head as though their lips were nearly touching.
She shivered a little with excitement smiling up at him. "Okay I will. What's his name?" questioned.
"Puckerman. Noah Puckerman," Rian said before kissing her gently.
Hoped you all enjoyed Chapter One I know it's still kind of rough, but I tried. Feedback would be appreciated anyway shape or form. Predictions are also welcomed or ideas of what you want to see happen next! I was also thinking about either keeping it focused on Beth or having each chapter focused on either Beth, Puck, or Quinn.
