After the changes to the first chapter, I decided to come back to the first chapter again so without further adieu let's do this.

I was being confined in a dark space with no light, suddenly I decided to explore the black space around my paws. My limbs reaching out and touching a solid wall. Stretching out the rest of my limbs to explore the area around me. With all of the finding something solid contact with a shell around me?

"Im imprisoned in something, I've got to get out of here!" I thought to myself in panic.

I started thrashing around, slamming myself into the side of this space, this prison I was confined to. Launching all of my weight on one side seemed to be working, I started feeling it give way while making cracking sounds along with light streaming in.

"Yes it's breaking, just a bit more and I'll be free!" I thought to myself in joy

Suddenly the wall gave way I tumbled out of my prison onto a soft green surface, the light blinding making it hard to see. After a few seconds my eyes began to adjust and take in their new surroundings. Then I looked at myself or at least what I could see, I had two paws that were covered in fur, the fur was a brown colour and looked very soft.

Out of the corner of my eyes, I caught the movement of a light blue blob moving towards me at speed. The blob suddenly stopped in front of me, and leaned down to start licking me?

The feeling wasn't unpleasant but it was rather embarrassing.

After being cleaned up I could see a lot more of my surroundings, The green floor stretched on for a long time, the light? Was really bright and made me squint my eyes I saw another tall thing with ears and green bits on it standing next to the blue one. It looked as if they were talking to each other in hushed voices.

I try to shout to get their attention but all that comes out is a high pitched yip, but that seems to get their attention.

"Awww, look at how cute he is, he's so fluffy." cooed the blue one.

"Aye, he's a looker alright, but what are we going to name him?" the greenish one asked.

"Ooooh, I was so excited he hatched, I can't think of a name for him." The blue one said.

The green one chuckled, "Well, that's no good he can't go around nameless you know."

The blue one pouts, "but I'm no good at naming though."

"Well you might never get another chance to do this, so you might as well give it a shot Mari." Responded the green one.

The blue one now known as Mari scrunches up her face and starts thinking.

"Hmm, how about… Flare?"

The greenish one immediately shook his head, "nope that's no good, it doesn't fit him, right now at least."

"Weeeell, what would you call him then Cran," Mari said.

"Ah, um….maybe N-Neptune."

Mari stuck her tongue out and said mockingly, "Ha, looks like you're struggling as much as I am."

I stand on my shaky legs and take my first few steps, my steps being incredibly wobbly and unstable.

Gaining confidence after my first few successful steps I made my way towards Mari and Cran, Suddenly I tripped over my own feet falling over face first and doing a roll into Mari's body.

"Ooo, careful sweetheart." Mari gently says.

"That was quite the tumble, is he alright?" Cran asked in concern.

Mari just nods.

"Boyo that was quite the dazzling move there."

A look of revelation came upon Cran's face.

"Dazzling, Daz… I think I just got a name for our boy." Cran exclaims with joy.

Mari raises her eyebrows.

"How do you feel about Daz?" Cran asks.

Mari puts on a thoughtful face and after a few seconds speaks, "I really like the name, what do you think sweetheart?" She asks as she looks down at me.

I yip in agreement, my tail wagging in excitement.

A smile grew on her face, "Daz it is then," she said softly.

(A few week later)

I tear through the forest at breakneck speed towards the small grove that I call home, running from Papa whose job it was to catch me before I made it back home.

The entrance soon came into vision my chest heaving, my legs burning from the running.

Suddenly Papa leapt out of the bushes and blocked the way, "I have you now Boy!" he declared.

"My only chance is if I slid through his legs" I thought to myself.

Continuing to run towards, I waited for the right opportunity, not yet, not yet… NOW!

I slid through his legs, confusing him long for me to cover the gap between me and the entrance of the grove.

"SAFE!" I celebrated with joy as I ran into the grove.

"Ah, you got me this time boyo," Papa chuckled out.

Mama stuck her head out of a bush she was in and said, "Welcome back you two, how was today Cran?"

"Oh, today he was great, darting and weaving, definitely giving me a run for my money. He's getting better with each day, and to think a few weeks ago he could barely walk."

Mama sighed, "time sure does fly doesn't it."

"Aye sure does, anyway he's yours for the rest of today, I'm going to have a nice lie-down," said Cran as he walked away.

Mama huffed and mumbled to herself, "I wish he was kinder about it."

Mama then turned to me and said, "time for you to continue learning about the Sinnoh region."

I groaned in disappointment.

Mama gave a small laugh.

(A few hours later in the cave…)

A crudely drawn map of the Sinnoh region with major and minor towns labelled and a large X saying we are here was shown before me.

Mama had a stick and was using it point a variety of points on the map.

"What's this?" She asked while pointing at a vague attempt of a drawing, of a mountain.

I thought for a moment, "Mount Coronet?"

"Yes that's right… and here?" she asked again pointing at a different part of the map

"Thats lake Acuity and it's near Snowpoint city"

"Yes, very good the-"

Suddenly my stomach decided to make itself known.

"Hehe, looks like someone is hungry."

I nodded shyly.

"Alright let's go find something to eat then."

After a few minutes of walking around in the sweltering heat of the forest, mama led me to two bushes, one had Bright pink berries on it and the other had smaller less vibrant versions of the same looking berry in its branches.

"Now you see the berries that are bright right?"

"Mmhm"

"Those berries are ripe and good to eat." She says pointing at the bright ones that looked plump and juicy.

"These ones on the other hand… no good to eat." She says while pointing at the less vibrant and shrivelled up berries."

After listening to her lesson on which berries are good to eat and not to eat, we started eating the berries from the ripe bush, they tasted amazing, their flavour was sweet and delicious.

After eating the berries we headed back home as the sun was going down, the temperature along with it. By the time we got home, the sun had almost disappeared behind the trees completely.

Papa was laying in what little sunlight was left in the little clearing that was our home, he noticed us walking towards him and called out, "how was learning with your mother boyo."

I ran up to him excitedly and began explaining about what I learned with mama, routes to take what certain places were called and the notable points like Mount Coronet. Papa nodded and smiled, suddenly I yawned stopping me from continuing about how my day was, I didn't realize I was so tired.

Papa chuckled, "You tired there boyo?"

I nodded drowsily.

"Alright let's get you to bed shall we?" he said as he picked me up by the scruff.

Mama followed us into the cave.

Papa lowered me gently onto a pile of leaves not too far from the cave entrance.

"Time for you to sleep boyo, your mama's going to be here with you…"

I could feel sleep dragging my eyelids down and tuning out whatever Papa had to say. The last few thing I felt was Mama wrapping her long tail around me and nuzzling the back of my head before sleep finally claimed me.

Compared to the first one this is a deffo improvement and uh I hoped you enjoyed reading it.
