AN: Hey thanks for reading! I have had this written for quite some time and I just never got around to publishing it. I hope you like it!

Disclaimer: If I owned Supernatural this would have happened already!

Dean couldn't explain it. His mind was a cluttered mess, as if his brain simply gave up on trying to process the situation. Why did he kiss him? The thought raced over and over through Dean's mind as he slammed the impala's door shut and quickly pulled out of the parking lot. He raced down the highway in a vain attempt to clear his mind. I like girls. He thought at least a thousand times. He had always liked girls. Guys were supposed to like girls, not other guys. But still, there had been all those times at school or at the grocery store when another boy had caught his eye and made his heart flutter. Of course he had never acted on those feelings. His father had made his opinion very clear on g-. Dean couldn't even think the word. Gay. No, no, no. Dean Winchester was not gay. He was straight. He had been straight with many different girls. Dean couldn't be gay.

I'm drunk. Dean calmed down a little at the thought, even though he rationally knew that he (surprisingly) hadn't touched any form of alcohol that night. He was absolutely sure that was why he had kissed him or at least he now had something to tell Castiel when he was to be confronted by the angel about the kiss.

"You're not drunk, Dean," A voice said from beside him.

Dean slammed his foot on the break, nearly causing a wreck with the car behind him. He turned to look at the angel that had just appeared in the seat next to him.

"Cas," He said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Pull into the next parking lot," The angel commanded, not looking at Dean.

Dean followed the order without question, more terrified of what was happening than he had ever been about a situation and he had been in a plethora of scary situations.

When the car was parked Castiel spoke. "Why did you kiss me?" He asked, staring at Dean with such an intensity Dean felt as if two holes were burning through his shirt.

"Um…" Dean stuttered. He had never felt this nervous talking to anybody, let alone a guy. "I don't know," He finally finished with a whisper.

They sat in silence for a few moments before Castiel spoke again. "Dean," He murmured. "I know you are going to be uncomfortable with what I am about to tell you, but it's time you should know?"

"What should I know?" Dean asked, more nervous then before (if that was even possible).

"You see," Castiel began, "When you were a baby and I was assigned to protect you that also means that we are soul mates. You will be my only true love Dean and I will be yours. It is fate."

Dean was stunned. "So, I am gay." He finally blurted out after staring off into the stars for over twenty minutes.

"That is correct." Cas said, still staring at Dean with his intense eyes.

Dean turned and looked at the angel. Castiel's green eyes were watching him blankly, giving away no signs of any emotion that the angel might be feeling. With slow and slightly hesitant moments Dean leaned down and pecked him right on the lips. Their kiss started short and sweet, but quickly turned into a deeper, more passionate kiss that seemed, at least to the two men, to last forever.

When they did finally pull away Dean rested his forehead on Castiel's and asked, "You're mine for the rest of eternity?"

"For the rest of eternity," Castiel responded, putting his lips on Dean's one more time.

As they drove back to the motel Dean thought out-loud, "I wonder what Sammy will think..."
