It seemed Carnation was destined to be miserable. At school, everyone bullied her. The teachers seemed to hate her. Her parents didn't even know she existed. Her only salvation was the TV show Detective Conan and Magic Kaito. She wished that she could leave this world. And that is where this story truly begins.

Why, why me? I never did anything to them. It's not my fault my name is a flower, It's not my fault I'm shy, so why? Carnation lay awake in bed, surprisingly enough, this was not uncommon, she was in her favorite white (but a little dirty) nightdress, the one with long sleeves and went to her knees, she was clutching her favorite blue blanket and stuffed polar bear, named baby bear, her feet were cold, so she had put on some slippers that covered only her toes and front of her foot. If one were to see her they would think she was asleep. But if they cared to look closer, they would see tears glistening in the moon light.

It's a full moon tonight, full moons are always magical, Kaitou KID taught me that, she thought with a smile, but unfortunately, Kaitou KID isn't real, and no amount of dreaming will change that. And her face fell.

She then spoke aloud: "I wish I could leave this world… and start over."

Then a voice that didn't come from outside but in her head said, "I can help with that." And then her room filled with silver mist.
