He's not sure why he did it. It almost seemed as if he were being guided by an outside force – a force that told him to make that call, to lead River and Simon astray. To betray them. To betray them and to betray the rest of the crew. To betray the captain.
And the worst part about it was that the Doc - that stupid rich pansy from the core world who had made their lives so much more complicated - he still believed he had saved their lives. Still believed he was the good guy.
He was only glad that Simon had yet to notice how he now refused to meet his eyes.
After enarly two years of being a browncoat, I've finally worked up the courage to write some actual fanfiction for Firefly.
So, yeah, hi. These are going to be a series of 100 drabbles, ten for each character (Serenity :D). I decided to start with Jayne, for some reason.
