A/n:Something that has been playing in my mind for a while now.
Yeah yeah I don't own anything blah blah blah.
He loved when she smiled. When she had a true smile on her face she looked so naturally beautiful and he loved it.
When she had became director she hadn't smiled a real smile. She would put on a convincing fake grin but he could tell it was forced. He remembered the last time he had actually seen her smile was the night before she left him in Paris. It was right before they had fell asleep, she had looked at him and told him that she loved him with a warm smile.
He hated to see her when she put on a fake one for Senators or visiting agencies. It had just never looked right on her. Because she had a beautiful smile and won't show it anymore.
He saw her leave her office one night. He didn't even know that she was still here. He assumed he was the only one left in the building like he had been many times in the last week. "Still here Jethro?" She asked.
"No I'm his doppelgänger." He said with a smirk.
"Oh? Did you finally get a dictionary?" She questioned.
"Nope."
She shook her head, "Go home Jethro. It's late."
He shrugged, "Don't feel like sanding a boat tonight Jen."
"drink some bourbon, watch some TV, read a book, eat some takeout. Your a grown man Jethro I'm sure you can find something to do besides sitting here in the dark alone."
"Well your here so I'm not alone and there's a light here so I'm not in the dark."
"Smartass." She retorted. "And I should be going, I'm exhausted. As soon as I get home I'm going straight to bed."
He stood up from his place behind his desk and moved so he was beside her. "And what were you doing here so late, Madame Director?" He asked with a sly grin.
She looked down at her feet, "Cause I don't feel like sitting in my study all night."
He smirked, "Drink some bourbon, watch some TV, read a book, eat some takeout. Your a grown woman Jenny, I'm sure you can find something to do besides sitting here in the dark alone."
"Your here and threes a light."
He didn't say anything back, but lowered his lips to hers.
At first she was shocked at the action, but she returned the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he placed his on her waist. When the need for air came they broke apart. She stared at him for a moment before a smile came over her face. A real smile. "You know you look so beautiful when you actually smile."
Her smile grew wider, "How about we go to my place, drink some bourbon and eat some takeout?" She asked.
"Sounds like a plan Jen."
Her smile never left her face that night. And from then on everytime she smiled she had something to smile about.
