Deleted Scene: The Night of the Big Blast

Have you ever seen a show where the Hero needs something to use against the Bad Guy and bam! suddenly he has it? That happens near the end of The Night of the Big Blast: Jim & Artie need to stop the fake Artie with the bomb in his chest and have no ideas, but the next we see them, they have a bazooka to launch a net over the walking bomb! Where did that come from? I try to explain.

Deleted Scene: The Night of the Big Blast

Jim and Artie are driving the carriage madly towards the Federal Building. They have just been discussing what they will do about Bomb Boy when they get there and are still in need of an idea. Just then, they spot a man at the side of the road, jumping up and down and waving his arms to get their attention, calling out, "Mr West! Mr Gordon! I have what you need!" in a British accent. The man has wild brown hair and is dressed in a trenchcoat over a brown pinstriped suit, with bright red canvas shoes.

As the man seems to know who they are and is offering help, Jim pulls up. With a maniacal grin, the stranger reaches under his trenchcoat and produces a bazooka, explaining in rapid-fire technobabble what the thing is and how to use it.

Artie accepts the contraption, saying, "Well, thank you very much, Mister...?"

"Doctor," the stranger replies. "THE Doctor."

"Doctor who?" asks Jim.

Cutting his eyes at James, the stranger says, "Why does everyone always have to make that particular, extremely lame joke? Now hurry! RUN!"
