Exhaustion, relief
Serenity on his face,
He sleeps peacefully.
Nausea, despair
A twisted sneer on his lips,
He lies still, listless.
Horror, and then joy
He deigns to support himself,
Grimacing in pain.
Disbelief, madness
Showing a crazed expression,
She roars for her life.
Fear, exuberance
Cheerfully grinning to all,
He limps to Master.
Terror till rescued
Carefully finding her way,
She mocks the fallen.
Panic, victory
Looking on expectantly,
She finds hope renewed.
