Wilder

Character Bio: Son of an escaped Death Eater convict, he was raised by his outlaw of a mother. Since his youngest age, he has been repeatedly interviewed by Ministry Aurors.

"I don't want to go."

The complaint came from a little blond haired, green eyed boy. The woman with wild eyes beside him slapped him harshly against his cheek. He gave out a cry, his knees buckling, but was silenced.

The Ministry witch's voice called, "Wilder Yaxley, you are wanted in the Head of the Aurors' office."

"Go, Derry," said the wild woman.

Wilder winced but obeyed. Once he got to the door of Harry Potter's Ministry office, he was no longer the scared boy he had been but had put on a confident, haughty mask.

The black-haired man sat in back of his desk. He smiled when the blond boy sat down cautiously, but did not receive one in return.

"Welcome, Wilder," Potter said. "You know the routine."

Yes, Wilder knew the routine as well as anyone did. Why did he have to be repeatedly questioned by the Ministry? He didn't know his father. He didn't know what had happened to him and had never even spoken to him.

"Did you speak to your dad this year, Wilder?"

"No, Mr Potter," said Wilder. "I have never spoken to him, ever. I've been telling you this for years and you never listen." He had a pouty look on his face, so much that Potter chuckled.

He felt his face burning. He hated being ridiculed!

"All right. I'll tell that to the Minister."

Potter refrained from laughing or smiling for the rest of the questioning. At last, another Auror came in.

Or Wilder at least thought she was. She had bushy brown hair, bright hazel eyes, and a brilliant smile.

"Stay here for one more minute, Wilder," instructed Potter. He nodded grimly towards his colleague. "Hermione needs to do something-"

She crouched at his level and took a wand from her pocket. "I'm sorry, Wilder," she whispered.

"Legilimens!"

When Wilder found out what Hermione Weasley had done to him, he vowed to never trust these Ministry people, ever again. Because in this tiny moment of trust, he had lost not only his mother's love but the tiny memory he had of his father holding him as a baby.

The Ministry, he thought, were worthless sneaks.

Just a bunch of drabbles I need to write to prove, I hope, that Slytherins are not all evil. They're good and bad, like us, and I feel really bad when people say, "Oh, Slytherins are evil Death Eaters" that's just as prejudiced as saying that Hufflepuffs are stupid Badgers. I'd like to point out that Peter Pettigrew was Gryffindor. (Though I have no idea why. The Sorting Hat must have been seriously mistaken with him).

Anyways, please read and review!
