A/N: This is one version of who walked in on Sokka at the end of the NYCC trailer.

Everything was all set. The candles were lit, the blankets draped across every inch of the tent, and the roses were scattered about, creating the perfect vision of romance. Sokka slowly slid off his tights and kicked them to the side, knowing perfectly well he wouldn't be needing them tonight.

He heard a rustling, and thinking it was Suki, he looked hurriedly around, trying to make sure when she entered it would be perfect. Sokka grabbed a rose, placing it between his teeth, and lay down on the floor in what he thought was a suggestive pose, waiting for the tent flap to be pushed back.

As the fabric was slowly pushed to the side, Sokka began to speak in his most sultry voice, "Well, hello…" but immediately stopped speaking the moment he saw who he was speaking to. He gasped for air as the rose lodged itself in his throat, and eventually swallowed it completely, still incredibly shook up when he saw who had walked in.

It wasn't Suki as he had been expecting, but rather Hakoda, who was extremely startled to find Sokka in such a position, and quickly figured out what was going on.

"Er- Hi dad," Sokka said, with a sheepish grin, now sitting up with a few rose petals stuck to the corners of his mouth.

"Sokka, I think it's time you and I had a little talk…" Hakoda suggested, sitting down next to his son. Sokka visibly slumped as his father began;

"I know that you and Suki are…" he paused for a moment searching for the proper word, "involved, and I know that you care about her a great deal, and I also get the feeling of what you were erm… waiting for." Sokka groaned as his father pressed on,

"When I was in the throes of young love with your mother, we were also… er… eager… as you are now, but we ended up doing the responsible thing and waiting. You and Suki have plenty of time together, and you really don't need to be rushing things. I mean think of your sister and the Avatar- you don't want to set this kind of example for them and-"

"Dad, I get it," Sokka said, cutting him off.

"I know you get it I just really think you should think this through a bit more- like you do with everything else."

Looking aghast Sokka replied, "What do you think all this was?" and made a sweeping motion with his hand, indicating the roses and blankets and candles.

"I didn't mean like that, Sokka," Hakoda said with a chuckle. He stood up and began to leave the tent, but before doing so he turned back, "Think about what I said." He began to exit again, but again turned back, "And put your pants back on- please," and with those parting words, Hakoda left the tent, leaving Sokka alone in his tent with his romantic decorations still in place.

Sokka sighed and began to put his pants back on when the tent opened once more, "Hey, I just saw your dad leaving and I-" Zuko stopped mid sentence, looking around at the roses, candles, blankets, and finally to Sokka with his pants only half on. "I don't want to know," Zuko said and quickly walked out of the tent, with a distraught Sokka, face in his palm behind him.

A/N: this was emisaXD's idea, but she's currently occupied with another story and asked me to write this one- except the ending hehe- I just couldn't resist.
