Late Night Destiel Fluff

"Cas, I gotta tell you something, and it's important so, I need you to listen. Okay?"

Cas sat up straight and gave Dean a questioning look.

"Okay Dean, I'm listening."

Dean closed his eyes and took a deep breath, running his fingers through his hair, he looked back at Cas for a moment again.

"Cas, I- I like you." Dean stared at Cas through his eyelashes, scared of what his reaction will be.

Cas tilted his head to the side and squinted at Dean, obvious confusion on his face,

"Yes, Dean, I like you too, we are friends after all, and, last time I checked, being friends with someone usually does involve liking them." Cas said, still holding his confused look on Dean.

"Dammit, Cas!" Dean sighed, why did he even start this conversation? "I don't mean I like you as a friend Cas, I mean I like, like-like you, like more than a friend."

Cas looked down at his lap, "Oh," was all he managed to say.

They both sat there in silence for a minute or so, it wasn't awkward, but, it wasn't nice either. He was waiting for Cas to give a proper answer, but when he didn't, Dean thought he should just leave before things got really awkward. As he got up he let out a long sigh before mumbling a quiet 'never mind', and turned to walk away.

Before he could even get a few steps away from the bed, Cas jolted upright and grabbed Dean's wrist, "Wait." Cas said, still not daring to look Dean in the eyes.

"I- I think I like-like you too, Dean." Cas let out a shaky breath before slowly raising his head to look Dean in the eyes.

When Cas looked at Dean's eyes, they weren't hard and serious like they usually were, instead they were soft and filled with adoration. He had a small smile on his face that began slowly growing bigger the more he stared at Cas.

Before either of them knew it, Dean had pounced on top of Cas and started littering little kisses all over Cas' cheeks and nose, letting out a small laugh in between kisses. He pulled back for a moment to catch one more glimpse of the angels shining blue eyes, which he loved so much, before cupping his cheek and leaning in for a kiss.

They stayed like that for a while, just enjoying the softness of each other's lips before Dean pulled back again, he slipped off of Cas' waist and sat next to him on the bed, still looking at Cas with that dumb, goofy smile.

"Cas?"

"Yes, Dean?"

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Yes, Dean."
