It had been about 2 years and Haley and Nathan's relationship was still going strong. They were the cutest couple in school. So why wouldn't everything be perfect? Haley had crossed over to popularity even though she wasn't complaining; she wasn't thanking the gods above either. Haley had merged with Nathan's crowd allowing her self to be dragged to the drunken parties, endless phone calls and questioning about what the cute couple had planned for every single weekend. Haley couldn't stand "having" {Nathan's words not hers} to make appearances at parties of people she didn't know. Sometimes Haley wanted to be Haley the "tutor girl". But then there was Nathan. Even at these stupid parties he made it clear he loved her. Everyone knew it and after a while it became a routine not only for them but for all their friends as well.
He would see his friends, which after Haley's ultimatum to both guys {which was them being friends or both of them losing her} included Lucas, and he would go over and talk to them while Haley talked to her friends. Of course she would have rather talked to Brooke and Peyton without her "friends" the cheerleading squad there.
But after a few minutes he would leave his friends and walk over to Haley. He would stand behind her with his arms around her waist and his head on her shoulder giving her a small butterfly kiss on her cheek and neck every now and then.
After maybe ten or twenty minute Haley would go over to were Nathan's guy friends were standing and hang out with them for a while in the same position as before. Though Nathan would actually be talking unlike when he was with Haley's "friends" {where he would just stand taking in everything that he loved about her and the fact that she was his and he was hers} but he would still give her kisses every now and then.
Haley actually started liking Nathan's guy friends after a while but the girls with the exception of Brooke and Peyton weren't her most favorite people to be with. The guys started to like Haley after a while also and stopped saying that Nathan was whipped because for everything Nathan did for Haley, Haley would do it right back with a love that no one except the couple could understand and give. She would leave her "friends" just so that she could be with him even if it meant listening to sports talk for hours.
Haley soon became the way of finding out about the opposite sex to Nathan's friends. She also became like their little sister, not that she didn't have enough guys watching out for her already. Haley fit with them and they fit with her. Unlike the prissy little cheerleaders she couldn't but had to stand.
