CHAPTER ONE
I was watching The Hunger Games with my little sister Prim. She turned suddenly to me and said "Katniss, promise me you that you'll never go into the Hunger Games."
"I promise Little Duck."
"Thank you Katniss."
Little did I know that in a few years, I'd have broken that promise, not once but twice and she'd be dead because of it. I still feel that guilt every day. Then I'm back in the present
"KATNISS!" She screamed.
"No Prim! NO!"
KATNISS! Wake up you're have another nightmare! Petta said
I wake up in a rush. Then I realize that it was all another dream. A nightmare that is. One of the many flashbacks I've been having recently. I need to get things straightened out. What was wrong with me? Why couldn't I just bury the past and let it stay buried.
"You who? Earth to Katniss..." Said Petta
"Yes" I replied
"I asked you if you were having the Prim nightmare again"
"Oh, yes I did."
"That one has been repeating recently, hasn't it?"
"Yeah it has"
All of a sudden, there's a movement near the door, and a little head pokes around the corner.
"Good Morning, Rye." I say to my eldest son, who is ten years old.
"Good morning, Mom. What's that, a nightmare about Prim? Who's Prim?"
" I think it's time he learned the truth" Petta says.
A/N Yes, this book will partially be about them explaining to their kids, but then it gets interesting.
