Rain poured down the sky as a girl with green eyes and flaming red hair stood on the back porch of her new home. She watched and watched as each and every raindrop hit the cement that wasn't covered by house and splashed right up, only to go straight back down. She couldn't help but compare herself to those raindrops, how that seemed to happen to herself; in every single move she had had so far. Hesitantly she put her hands out into the storm getting them both soaked in the process. This time will be different though, she thought as she pulled back her hands, shaking them off, then drying them completely off on her already dirty black sweatpants. This time, she convinced herself, when I splash back up…. Somehow I'm going to stay there.

My green eyes fluttered open as I looked around, confused at first were I was. Everything came flooding back to me as I sat up in my bed and saw boxes everywhere. "Right." I muttered and started to pull of my covers to get up. This was my fourth move in two years because of my mom's work.

She was an artist and needed the constant moves for new inspirations. After tons of begging and persuading, I finally got her to move to our current location...London, England. The only downside is that I Clary Fray, once again has no friends. Shocker there.

"Clary!" I heard my Mom yell to me from the kitchen of our new little house. "Clary, your going to be late for your first day!" I glanced at my alarm clock that had failed to wake me up, and did a double take. I had fifteen minutes!

"Ill be right there" I yelled back at her as I threw on some clothes wishing I had picked them out the night before. I ran to my bathroom mirror and peered into it. 3.14 Pie shirt - Check. Dark blue skinny jeans - Check. White toms- Double Check.

I grabbed my Lord of The Rings bag, and threw my frizzy red hair up in a pony tail, sparing another glance into the mirror. It seemed like it was as good as it was going to get. I sighed as I walked out, into the kitchen.

"I'm going Mom" I said as I grabbed a bagel, then my keys. I gave her a hug as I passed her, and went for the door.

"Clary" she started as I turned the knob. I turned around, and gave her a questioning look when she didn't go on. She had been acting pretty strange lately. After a few moments of hesitance, she continued. "Just remember, that no matter what happens I love you."

I smiled at her. "I love you too Mom." I went through our front door, with a queasy weird feeling in my stomach, not knowing I wouldn't be able to say that to her again for a while. I pushed the feeling away, thinking it was because of school. It had to be because of school. I got into my old gray truck and after starting up the engine, started to drive.
