Mick St John goes for the throat as soon as Beth walks in & offers her blood to save him during the bathroom scene in the desert. He can't stop himself & she thinks he needs more & doesn't realise the danger until she's almost passed out. He finally manages to hurl himself away when he hears her heart stutter. He turns her & she marries him. After returning the pregnant girl to custody, Beth breaks it off with her boyfriend then she & Mick get married. Beth keeps her job as a reporter & they work together on cases.
