Walking through the halls, I kept my eyes on my book, trying to remember the spells for class. Suddenly I felt something ram against me, sending my books to the floor.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" A girl with red hair apologized as she bent down to pick up my books.
"No really, it's fine!" I assured her as I knelt down to help her.
"I'm Ginny," she shook my hand as we stood up.
"Ella-Marie, but you can call me Ella." I smiled.
"What, did you hurt another person?" A deep voice sounded from behind, almost teasing.
Ginny frowned when she looked over my shoulder. "No Ron, I didn't."
Turning around, I saw a tall guy with side swept red hair. His bright blue eyes shining when he reached me.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your new friend?" His eyes flickered to Ginny.
Ginny sighed. "Ella, this is my brother Ron. Ron, this is Ella."
Ron stepped forward and gently took my hand. "Lovely to meet you, Ella."
"Same to you," I could barely breathe in his presence.
"Well I gotta go Ella, I'll see you around!" Ginny gave me a quick hug then jogged down the hall. Leaving me and Ron alone.
Ron's POV
As Ginny left, I noticed Ella uncomfortably rub her arm.
"Are you sure Ginny didn't hurt you?" I laughed.
Ella smiled, showing her bright white teeth. "I'm alright, my arm is just sore."
I held my hand out to her. "Here, I'll carry your books for you as I walk you to your next class, which is?"
Ella's hazel eyes went big, but she handed me her books shyly.
"History of Magic." She mumbled
"So," I began as we started walking next to each other. "I haven't really seen you around here before."
"Probably because I'm somewhat shy." Ella kept her eyes on the ground.
"Well, with your looks I'm surprised I haven't seen you before." I glanced over in her direction.
"What do you mean?"
"You're striking, Ella." I whispered. I waited for her reaction, until she finally raised her eyes and smiled at me.
"You're not too bad yourself, Ron." Ella nudged me.
It was quiet for a few moments, until we reached her classroom door.
"Ella, would you like to hang out with me sometime?" I blurted. It was totally out of the blue. But I knew that there was something special about her.
She leaned against the wall, "You barely know me." I could see the smile spreading across her face.
"What can I say," I raised a hand and tucked a strand of her long, dark, curly hair behind her ear. "You've cast a spell on me."
